  1. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Had it on the lift to put in some power plugs. Took a couple pics of the cooler lines.
  2. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

We just need the restrictions on deleting to get removed. A deleted, correctly tuned diesel runs way more efficient than this crap anyway.
  3. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

We have had requests for a turbo and we discussed it. The motor can already make more power and heat than the system can deal with. It's not high on our list of new products.

Somehow they were able to machine the gen2 without those holes? Plus, they would have just put in press in plugs and not machined that size hole and used a plug with an O-ring in a size commonly used for oil line bungs. Let's say your right, who cares? One side is the pressure side that...
  5. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

I'm not going to change the factory cooler while still under warranty.
  6. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

I saw that one but it doesn't say it will fit the jeeps.
  7. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Lol, no worries. I just posted what I did. One port has oil pressure out and the other is a return. It's almost like they were considering adding an external oil cooler for a towing package but then didn't. I've had it in for an oil change at the dealer and they didn't say anything.

There is a Canadian company that already makes that plate for you. I considered going that route but removing the factory cooler just screamed voided warranty to me.
  9. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Lol, actually being a turbo builder in Tempe it turns out we know a couple guys down there. Working on getting on the list ahead of all you folks! JK! (Or am I?) ?
  10. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

How do I get on that list? I'm down for coolant temp reduction.
  11. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

I have considered meth injection. I work for a turbo company and we sell a lot of those kits. I took a couple pics on the freeway on my ride home.
  12. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

I used existing threads. I don't remember the pitch, it's metric, I probably have it written down somewhere. I had to turn down the fittings, take the corners off the hex, because the two holes are very close together. I believe the cooler I already have is too big. The flow is not high...
  13. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Oh, I should mention that I filled the lines and cooler with the cooler loose and hanging down to be sure there were no air gaps in the cooler. I started and ran it that way in the lift to test it. It was only at idle temps but the feed side and cooler were pretty warm and the return was cold...
  14. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Those are the brackets I made for the cooler
  15. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

They are definitely in and out from the oil supply. I believe front one it out and back one is in. I didn't keep track after I decided to not run a temp switch. The oil temps are always higher than the temps available for those switches so the fan would always be in anyway. I just have it...
  16. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

Oh, I just got an iDash gauge to be able to watch EGT and other temps. EGTs are through the roof under load.
  17. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

I put in an oil cooler to help with temps. I would say I get an average 10ish degree drop. I just used the bungs that are already on the motor next to the factory oil cooler. I didn't use a pump but I've considered it. I think the bigger problem is EGTs. Didn't get a lot of pictures. Will try...
