We have had requests for a turbo and we discussed it. The motor can already make more power and heat than the system can deal with. It's not high on our list of new products.
Somehow they were able to machine the gen2 without those holes? Plus, they would have just put in press in plugs and not machined that size hole and used a plug with an O-ring in a size commonly used for oil line bungs.
Let's say your right, who cares? One side is the pressure side that...
Lol, no worries. I just posted what I did. One port has oil pressure out and the other is a return. It's almost like they were considering adding an external oil cooler for a towing package but then didn't. I've had it in for an oil change at the dealer and they didn't say anything.
There is a Canadian company that already makes that plate for you. I considered going that route but removing the factory cooler just screamed voided warranty to me.
Lol, actually being a turbo builder in Tempe it turns out we know a couple guys down there. Working on getting on the list ahead of all you folks! JK! (Or am I?) ?
I used existing threads. I don't remember the pitch, it's metric, I probably have it written down somewhere. I had to turn down the fittings, take the corners off the hex, because the two holes are very close together.
I believe the cooler I already have is too big. The flow is not high...
Oh, I should mention that I filled the lines and cooler with the cooler loose and hanging down to be sure there were no air gaps in the cooler. I started and ran it that way in the lift to test it. It was only at idle temps but the feed side and cooler were pretty warm and the return was cold...
They are definitely in and out from the oil supply. I believe front one it out and back one is in. I didn't keep track after I decided to not run a temp switch. The oil temps are always higher than the temps available for those switches so the fan would always be in anyway. I just have it...
I put in an oil cooler to help with temps. I would say I get an average 10ish degree drop. I just used the bungs that are already on the motor next to the factory oil cooler. I didn't use a pump but I've considered it. I think the bigger problem is EGTs.
Didn't get a lot of pictures. Will try...
