Probably 4,000 or less. I’ve been browsing posts and it looks like people are towing this weight pretty easily until it gets into the hot days and towing uphill.
We are thinking of purchasing a small Rpod that weighs 3159 lbs dry. How well do you think the diesel would tow it? I have 2022 JTRD with the tow package and I’ll be running on 37” Ko2’s and I also have the Arcus front bumper with a winch.
I’ve read through pretty much this entire thread, and I’m sure I missed a few things, but one thing I’m wondering is has anyone had derating issues after they’ve had the GDE tune installed? I’m assuming that at least a few people in this forum have the GDE tune.
I don’t understand why Jeep didn’t make the shifter lock when it is drive to avoid accidentally bumping it into to neutral. My dog bumps mine into neutral all the time, and it’s annoying. My ford vehicles all lock when put into drive, and I have to actually push a button on the shifter to shift...
You’re not getting 20mpg? I get close to 26 on the highway on longer trips and 20 around town. Sometimes it drops a bit in the city stop and go. Hand calculated I’m within a mile of the display mpg. Mine definitely clatters and groans.
I actually did lower my tire pressures a few days after driving it home. When I picked it up from the dealer, the tires were at around 38 psi. I felt the ride was very rough, so I lowered the pressure down to 33. I did not realize that it would make that much of a difference. It made a...
After watching a dirt lifestyle video on YouTube where they were running the Rubicon and there was a diesel gladiator in the group who’s cover got busted, I looked underneath mine to see what it looks like and mine is surrounded by a pretty beefy metal metal cover. That looks like a “skid” to...
I’m using hotshot edt at each fill up. I’ve noticed my mpg isn’t as good as a lot of people are saying they’re getting. I’m hoping it will get better. I’ve gotten up to 24 on longer trips 65-70 mph.
It is a 2022 JTRD. Completely stock with 2700 miles. It doesn’t happen if I ease into the throttle but as soon as I give it hard press it’s starts the “rattle” and when I let off it sounds like spinning noise. Like metal on metal. The best I can describe it is like failing bearings in a blower...
I’ll try to post up another one later on. I think it’s easier to hear it inside the cab with the window open. Sounds like maybe the turbo rattling. Like worn bearings on a motor.
On heavy acceleration from a dead stop or just giving it the pedal at normal speed I get a very annoying rattling sound. Sounds like bearings or something like that. It’s very noticeable but in the video it’s hard to hear it clearly because of the wind. Added another link to a video I took...
100% agreed. This place is horrible. Cold winter, hot summers and riots. I’ve lived in the South though, specifically Florida. I’ll stay here and eventually head west.
My build date was 3/22. I haven’t noticed any bottoming out. I’ll look into the springs. I’m planning on updating the suspension eventually because I’m going to be adding bumper, winch, rack, and tent. I’m still trying to figure out how to go about upgrading the suspension to handle the weight...
