Just for fun, I've never seen the two side by side.
On the left is the stock rear (passenger) D44 axle shaft from my 05 TJ Rubicon. On the right is a new M220 rear (passenger) axle shaft for my '22 JT Rubicon EcoDiesel.
Just found this interesting as people continue to suggest the new...
I've got some 40x13.5r17 Cooper STT Pros en route for my Gladiator. Problem is nobody around here seems to have the equipment capable of mounting or more likely balancing the tires.
Just wondering if any of you folks have had luck getting a shop to mount/balance 40s or if at this point I'm...
My '22 Gladiator has been flawless save for two issues: a small water leak at the rear window, and the one touch down windows in the front.
When I depress the button all the way for the one touch automatic down they often stop part way. The passenger side does it more often than the driver...
Got the HPFP recall done, immediately sent the PCM out to GDE.
Don't see actual comparisons too often, so here you go. Nothing scientific. Similar OAT and same flat stretch of road.
37s, stock 3.73s. Carrying a half rack, RTT, winch, full size spare. ~4" lift. AEV snorkel with AFE intake tube...
:::edit:::
Block heaters have changed over the model years. If you're finding this thread now, read through the full thread before you order any parts
:::::::::::::::
I'm not sure when the switch happened but I think it was late in the 21 model year... either way, early EcoDiesels in the Gladdy...
I pulled into the garage today and as I hopped out this plastic plug/cap went skipping across the floor. Odd after 5k miles it decides to fall off in my garage. Doesn't look like anything overly important, like a dust shield or something, but I'd like to know where it came from.
With so many people having towing issues, just thought I'd post up my experience this past weekend. (really wed-fri but I have weird days off)
First, Glad specs:
Spacer lift, 3" front 2" rear. 37x12.5 tires.
I don't have my own trailer yet, mostly because I have 6 cars at the moment and no...
I've seen a couple people ask and some write ups already. The tailgate letters are two piece. They're not snap together, they have pins that are pushed through and melted on the back side. I used a 13/64 bit (not exact) to just take a bit of the plastic off the larger pins and the letters pop...
Silly question maybe but are the oil drain plugs on the ecodiesel one time use? Or is there a crush washer or some sort of gasket washer that's supposed to be used there? I'm about to drive 800 miles and changed the oil last night. Wiped down the oil pan. Came out this morning to a wet pan below...
(5) Falken Wildpeak MT
285/70r17 (about 33x11.5 equivalent) 116/118Q Load Range C
OEM wheels, 4 main and 1 full size steel spare.
904 highway miles on them. Off the Jeep now, they'll have no additional wear put on them. Perfect condition, nicely balanced.
Beware, they have 2022 TPMS sensors...
TJ's (me) TJ/JT T/J (Thread/Journal)
Kind of seems silly making a build journal considering I'm not planning anything crazy with my Gladiator, but after thinking the same with my last several Jeeps and then going way down the rabbit hole sometimes providing write-ups on numerous forums, etc, I...
I was discussing the Pentastar vs Ecodiesel in a group chat with some friends and threw together a direct comparison of dyno sheets for the hell of it. Figured I'd share here.
I want to make a point of saying I'm not arguing the accuracy of these sheets. I grabbed a few from various sources...
Maybe this has been touched on already but does anybody have photos of how the rear fender flares mount around the cab/bed gap? This is critical to how modifications can be made and how things may interact. Yes the frame is stiffened and fully boxed, but it looks like they went with pretty tight...
After looking at how people have been fitting 38s and 40s on their JL Wrangler I decided to photoshop up what the Gladiator would look like with appropriate lift and tires
