The answers are here in this thread, it's a combination of many things from gearing, aerodynamics (and yes, it does make a difference, albeit a smaller one at lower speeds), tire size, etc.. It doesn't take much to make a 2mpg difference.

Awesome, we're going to be camping on site, I think #207 if memory serves.. The plan so far is to make a pit stop at the Indiana Dunes park on the way down, and make it to our campsite sometime around 4-5. Then start exploring the morning of the 26th as soon as they open the trails

I'm an idiot, Badlands Off Road Park in Indiana!

Thought I'd throw this out there, some friends and I are making the trip down to the Badlands for a day of wheeling on Aug 26th. We're camping overnight from the 25th. We're both very new to off road shenanigans so we'd welcome some experienced people to follow around for a bit and watch. '21...

Installed the Badlands Apex today. Hardest part was routing the wires, which is to say it wasn't difficult at all.

Got my new tires and level installed. 255/80/17 Falken AT3, 3/4" Daystar level.

Brought the thunder mutt to get a bath and his hair cut after our child decided to pet him with a handful of oatmeal a couple nights ago. He wasn't a fan of the extra headroom at first but decided it wasn't too bad on the drive home.

I'd considered putting a deposit down when they were first announced, back then they were rumored to start around $50k.. $70k starting put it way out of my reach. Super cool vehicles, I hope they depreciate like crazy so I can own one someday!

Oh dang, didn't know that! I was secretly hoping Jeep would start handing out checks or something for the clutch recall and I could use that to upgrade lol I'll probably hold off paying anything out of pocket for a little bit, mine does still bite good, no funky smells, etc.. I'll put that...

When the time comes I will definitely be upgrading to an aftermarket clutch just for general use (95% hwy driving to and from work), so for that reason I think I'll be sticking with the stock gearing and 33's for quite some time.
