Sorry, I should have said "significantly less risk" being a gas station employee. Over 60k LEOs were assaulted in 2020. We train multiple times a year, every year, on how not to get killed on duty. How not to get killed is like 40% of the academy. That's a major part of the job, and we go into...
I work 40+ hours a week, often times being placed in positions where I'm risking my life (police officer), in bad weather, shit hours, and every major holiday.
My Chief works 40hrs a week in a climate controlled office, M-F, no holidays, and he makes significantly more than me.
There are gas...
So, he's like basically every other communist leader the world has ever seen?
Regarding the strike, I understand people are upset that CEOs are making big bucks, but you also have to weigh the cost/benefit of potentially over-valuing your labor and making those robots roll out just a little...
I just got a 25% off coupon + 10% coupon stacked on top because I signed up for their card. $370 out the door for the Badlands 12k winch with synthetic rope and a tree saver.
While I never really worry about MPG, it is kind of fun to see how it can change depending on speed, distance, etc...
My average so far is between 18.8-19.5, which I'm more than happy with.
Last week I spent a lot of time cruising under 65 MPH and got 22 MPG for a full tank. I bet if I stuck...
Two things I'd like to point out, not necessarily contradicting you..
1. MOST people who have trucks don't even really need them, they're basically fashion accessories for many city folk that never/rarely put anything in the bed more than 2-3x a year. At that, the Jeep does EXACTLY what many...
By all means, if you have the money for a comfortable second car just to commute, that's never a bad option (especially if it's a fun car as well).
I think a lot of people never consider the true costs of buying a "cheap commuter" car. Yes, you might be saving on fuel, even a lot on fuel, but...
I commute 90 miles each day for work, (45 minutes each way), 6 days a week, and spend at least 80 of that mileage at 70 + MPH. I've been doing that for a bit over 3 years now.
I've not found that I need anything to manage the comfort, I find this thing to be surprisingly comfortable as is.
If...
No issues or complaints whatsoever on these tires. I replaced the original mud terrain's with these and they are worlds more comfortable.
I drive about 90 miles a day commuting for work, and these are as butter smooth as the Falkens on my buddies F150.
I run them at 37 psi. I recently went to...
I think we spent most of our time playing around on the hill climbs over by the quarry. We went of the concrete poured section too which was a lot of fun.
We ended up playing around on a what I believe was the yellow trail, and other than my buddy getting hung up on a giant boulder we didn't...
Same here, this is the closest vehicle I've owned regarding actual MPG vs indicated.
My land rover consistently told me I was getting 18 MPG, when in reality it was about 14.2-15 depending on wind speed.
The insanely bad reverse gearing is my only true gripe with my truck. With the manual transmission it's really, really annoying.
I've snubbed this thing out 2x in reverse since I owned it, haven't done that in about 17 years since my first manual vehicle.
'21 Willys, 6 speed manual, 255/80/17 (33") Falken AT3W tires and 3/4" front level.
Spend most of my commute doing 70-73mph in 5th gear. Average over the past 3100 miles has been 18.2 mpg which I'm pretty happy with.
Coming from a '13 Land Rover LR4 and 13.5 mpg this is pretty great!
Oh ok, that's good to know. We had grand plans to get to the campsite around 4-5 and set up camp, explore the town a bit, then have a couple drinks around the campfire
I saw that they sell flags, I was planning on just buying a setup there
And we are staying at their park, I didn't realize they don't allow alcohol! And of course no refunds on the camping spot
Edit: Might need to go find a flag mount setup, seems like theirs is kind of pricey and I don't see...
