I went with the Willys for this exact reason. I wanted the LSD for year round performance in slippery/snowy conditions, and I knew it would suffice for the amount/type of off roading i'd be doing. With competent tires these trucks are extremely capable.
Good guess, it was the bolt on the track bar that had come loose. It must've been a very gradual change because I honestly didn't even notice it. They said my steering wheel was closer to the 10 or 11 o'clock position. They put everything back how it's supposed to be and tightened it up...
Dropped mine off at the dealer for some warranty work (80 miles before it expires!) so they can investigate my phantom Stability Control warning light that comes and goes for seemingly no reason.
This loaner makes me really, REALLY, miss my Gladiator. Holy crap I hate this thing lol
And here I am trying to decide whether or not to get the 1.5" kit to move up to 35s. I currently have a 3/4" level up front and it sure looks like I could squeeze some skinny 35s in there without any issues
we actually got her a grand Cherokee that we had for a whopping two weeks before she finally admitted it was a mistake and she did not want it. Took a bit of a loss but we traded that towards my gladiator so I can't complain too much!
Interesting, guessing you don't have any extra sound deadening either. I have carpeting + Jeep rubber mats front and rear. Not sure why some seem to have drone and others have nothing.
I don't think I have sensitive ears either, I've been riding loud motorcycles for years with no ear...
Seems to be the common theme on the FB pages, maybe they're running mud tires and just don't hear it over the tire hum lol
I think mine has seen 5k maybe once, trying to make it up the last 25 ft of a particularly steep incline at The Badlands park.
Decided to go with a muffler delete, thought I would share my opinions because my experience varies from what I read before doing this.
My truck: '21 Willys, 6 speed, soft top, 33 Falken ATs. I drive about 95 miles a day for work, with at least 85 of that at 68-73 mph. Typically I do that in...
Drove mine to the dealer so the wife could try out a '24 Wrangler Sahara. Unfortunately she drove a Volvo XC90 earlier so the Wrangler was "super loud" at highway speeds. Thought for sure we were finally going to have an in-sync garage :/
Other than missing the extra interior room for car seats in the back seat (F150 would've been fantastic for that), I also went from F150 --> Gladiator with manual transmission and I have 0 regrets. Granted, I actually liked the little 2.7 EcoBoost, wouldn't mind a powerplant like that in the...
Interesting, I just looked it up and you're correct.
Guess I've run 33x12.5 tires on many a wheel "too small". I've never had an issue, doesn't make it right, but all of those tires have functioned properly and got great mileage out of them.
A couple local lads are running 35x12.5 on their...
I say this every single time one of these threads pops up on ANY brand's forum:
Most people come to forums only when they're having trouble and looking for guidance. For every person posting about problems on this site, there are 100 people driving around enjoying their vehicles without any...
Oh dang, I wish you'd told me 10 years ago it was just the Academy hyping me up for an imaginary danger, it's not even real!
I'm glad I'm just a cop pulling a stolen Glock 22 w/auto switch off a banger, two weeks before that a Taurus G2 w./extended mag, and then a Glock 17 off another kid...
you're absolutely correct. I'm not in my mid 30s yet I've already had multiple broken bones, torn shoulder, a really nasty high ankle sprain from getting hit by a car, and lingering neck and back pain.
Good news is, I only have 21 more years until retirement lol
