Brand new-
Say an Overland that checks all your boxes for $3-6k less- I don’t off-road and I think I’ve went into maybe two ditches for fireworks or help someone get out.

or a Rubicon/Mojave $3-6k higher but has all the fun and extras and better resale/trade value

color not a worry

I chose the Rubicon because there is a good chance of it going offroad within it's lifetime and I don't have to mess with it to do so. For me, there was no other choice.

Buy the one that fits you best, not what fits others best.

Not so sure the resale/trade is lower then the Rubicon or Mojave, sure lower price wise but compared to purchase price not so sure. Overland is apparently discontinued in 2024, price might rise maybe. Don’t over think it ,get what makes you happy….Jack

Drive them all, buy the one that calls your name. If you don’t off-road and are not really planning to that cheaper Overland maybe be right, but the consensus from what I’ve read is that stock for stock the Mojave shocks + seats are the best riding. Maybe you love the Rubicon stickers or the idea of a front locker. No wrong answer here.

I picked up a Mojave. I have some faster, dirt roads around here and the Mojave seems to fill my needs.
With that said, I think I could make a good argument for any of the trim levels. Just depends on what you are going to do with it.

If I had bought during this recent super discount 2023 craze, I would’ve gone with a loaded Mojave.

Otherwise, I’m very happy with my Overland HA and what I’ve turned it into. With Jeep discontinuing the overland, at least for now, it makes me want to hold onto it even more!

Sounds like an Overland will fit your bill. And dont discount the off roading prowess of a non-rubi or mojave Jeep. They all wear the Trail rated badges for a reason.

I went with the Willys for this exact reason. I wanted the LSD for year round performance in slippery/snowy conditions, and I knew it would suffice for the amount/type of off roading i'd be doing. With competent tires these trucks are extremely capable.

I went with a Mojave. I've owned a TJ Sahara and a JK Rubicon in the past. The shock set up and cool hood sold me on the Mojave.

Looking to go Mojave when I buy, would settle for a Rubicon under the right circumstances but would need to make some changes to make it more Mojave like.

I chose Overland in 2021 and loved my Gladiator. But I bought a Mojave in 2023 and love this one even more. Even though I don’t do any hardcore off reading, the Mojave has the lift, suspension and looks from the factory that I always wanted to do to the Overland.
