what settings are you using in your wrangler, got my wife an aawireless after the motorola ma1 i put in her gladiator started being very unreliable (the aawireless i have in my chevy has been almost flawless)
got it plugged in and finally setup after a couple tries last night, did two power cycles to make sure it worked alright (which it did), she goes to leave this morning for work and of course it completely freaks out and doesn't work at all, uconnect doesnt' recognize anything plugged in now (including her phone directly) and won't connect via bluetooth anymore
well shoot thats no good.
I will say, if you need it AAWireless support is very helpful, and usually quick to respond.

My settings:
USB mode default, Passthrough disabled, Dongle mode enabled, start/stop enabled.
For wifi settings, I have wifi mode set to hotspot, 5Ghz band, 149 wi-fi channel (auto is fine, but I have better success with 149 for some reason).

ok thanks, yeah i had it submit logs/error this morning while trying to trouble shoot it, hopefully she doesn't just delete their reply like she does for most emails, i'll try those settings out when she gets home, i had start/stop on because of mopars idiotic decision to leave usb ports powered all the time

Yup, drove me insane getting notifications on my phone all damn day whenever I got within BT range of the dongle.

Here's the basic "do this first" steps they'll ask you to try:

clean reset:

  • Reset the device and unplug it afterwards
  • Clear all app data and uninstall the AAWireless app
  • Clear all cache and data from Android Auto and Play Services
  • Remove the Bluetooth connection from AAWireless
  • Remove all phone mirroring/Android/AAWireless history from your car
  • Restart your car
  • Restart your phone
  • Plug your phone into the car with a cable and allow it to connect and run through the initial settings
  • Unplug your phone
  • Plug in the AAWireless unit
  • Download and install the AAWireless app again and go through its initial connection again

I have it inside the console. It can be finicky. Also, usb cable can make a difference. Sometimes you have to end the connection, rerun the app, open up setting and "save" to restart the connection.

Had this problem, solved it by changing the wifi channel, oddly enough.

My prime purchase was a teraflex adjustable track bar. Probably the best investment into better handling. Used to dive to the left when you brake. And the wheels felt kinda on the verge of speed wobble every time you hit a bump . And it only took a half hour to dial in.
