What qualifies an overlander?

I put take-off Rubicon sliders on mine.

IMO you don't need much more unless you're doing moderate to serious rock crawling.

They're strong enough to ride up and over a rock, I've done it. But I don't think they'd take a ton of abuse. For typical overlander use, they're fine.

Not an overland build but I went with LOD Destroyer slider with step built into them.

Classic step stools: comfortable access, inexpensive, sufficient.
