I used to have those. They weren't much of "running boards" because they are somewhat narrow. They do provide a small area to use as a step. For me, they didn't help much in keeping dirt/mud off the sides. I ended up changing them out for LOD destroyers.

Looks like the Mopar rock sliders with step assist. Also have LOD aluminum sliders, still look just fine after the first salt intensive Canadian winter.

As @Jeepmonster said, the step is minimal compared to the cost of these vs. others. I have them on my wife's JLU. She likes them. It does prevent rock chips imo.
