  1. Rubicon takeoff suspension

    The regular shocks are fine.
  2. Rubicon takeoff suspension

If you are north of Atlanta I have a set of Rubicon Front Launch Edition springs that I'd sell. Those are the tallest, gas engine springs for your vehicle. As stated if you are able to DIY it, it is VERY easy.
  3. Picked up a new Grand Cherokee L Thursday and Already been in Service twice.

Never buy a first year vehicle. If you can't help it, try buying one that is in its 7th or so month of production. Typically the 6th month mark is when minor production changes will occur if necessary. General advice... The new Bronco has SOOOOO many problems. I lurk the forum there and it...
  4. My dad wants a Renegade Trailhawk but I'm trying to get him into a Wrangler

The Renegade is just a shitty FIAT. Ignore the Jeep badging. If he wants an AWD crossover, I'd rather have the Ford Bronco Sport, or Toyota RAV4. If it has to be a Jeep, the Cherokee's seem pretty solid.
  5. Sooo...RCR did a review of the Gladiator.

I've watched his videos for years, but thought this one was WAY over the top. Hence a lot of the frustration here.
  6. The Definitive Front Bumper Thread

Yup bumper is around 60. Winch is low 60s. Skid is maybe 20 or less.
  7. Gladiator 4xe Hybrid PHEV Not Coming Until 2024MY: Report

This. Plus the new Tornado engine looks pretty sweet. I bet the 4xe will be very different in 2024 anyways.
  8. 3.0L "Tornado" Straight-Six Engine (GME T6) Coming to Various Jeep Models

Since this thread is going in this direction, as an automotive engineer here is my perspective: ICE isn't going away any time soon and I don't think that pure EV cars are the future. Lithium mining and other precious metals is nasty business. Plus it will only get more and more expensive. Then...
  9. The Definitive Front Bumper Thread

Another Rugged Ridge HD with a Warn Evo checking in. I also have their skid plate installed as well. Minor trimming was required to clear the fog lights. By far my favorite bumper for the JL/JT. As said already, the winch is a really tight fit.
  10. QuickJack 7000 Costco sale time

This is a good point. The platforms also block anything by the frame or the pinch welds of the body on most cars you lift.
  11. Must have options from factory?

    I’ve posted it here before.
  12. Must have options from factory?

For me: Towing package with the Rubicon and Mojave, even if you don't tow. Or Max Tow for the other trims able to get it, even if you don't tow. Huge upgrade! Aux switches. Alpine Stereo. Cold Weather if you think you want it. Black 3 piece hardtop. (I have the premium soft top but...
  13. Must have options from factory?

The wide axles all have 10mm thick tubes.
  14. JL bumper on a Gladiator

Come on... The rear of the Gladiator is completely different.
  15. Shocks too stiff or too soft?

No compliants! I don't notice any pulling or pushing of the wheel and the steering feels nice.
  16. Gladiator Mojave vse Rubicon MPG

You are probably looking at the diesel numbers for the Rubicon. The gas Rubi and Mojave are the same mechanically as far as MPG is concerned.
  17. New Willys JT and no engine cover

No engine cover here on my MX-5. The Pentastar looks great without one.
  18. Why did you/didn’t you lift your JT?

Do it right the first time. Buy once, cry once. I did my lift in three to four different stages and definitely wasted money by doing so.
  19. Why did you/didn’t you lift your JT?

If I had a two door JLR I'd probably not lift it. Maybe just an inch or two like the Xtreme Recon package on the JLU. But the Gladiator has a long wheel base, with low breakover and departure angles. Lifting helps. So I lifted it. First by 2.5", went off-road a few times. Scraped. Then I lifted...
  20. Switching from Hamburgers to Magnuson

100% Excessive heat, to me, is one of the biggest enemies of the automotive world. Proper engine cooling can help improve longevity either stock or modified. Proper transmission cooling can help improve longevity either stock or modified. Etc. For example, anyone who tows, should have a...
