I liked my Warn doors and when I bought them, they were the cheapest set. I sold and replaced with Bestop fabric doors because I wanted the added weather protection and stowability in the bed for long trips.
I really think you should contact SOS if you are serious about a bumper with tire carrier. They were awesome to work with and have been manufacturing Tacoma stuff for years (big following in that community) and they would love to get more Jeep business. They really hooked me up for the chance...
I think that is about my timeline, if I need to adjust, I will do my NV/CA divert first after CO (already plan on having to bypass some in CO) and then head to UT early June.
I have a custom built dual swing out rear bumper made by SOS Offroad Concepts. I have had it for almost a year and half, I love it. JCR's panels are a bit sleeker but they took longer to develop and tweek than my custom build (based off a Tacoma bumper SOS already mass manufactures)...SOS kept...
the onboard air is pretty sweet and I have been considering the River Raider since before I got my JT...we aren't far from each other, but I haven't caught a glimpse of your JT in the wild yet, but keep an eye out for it
If you don't need anything super aggressive, I had these on my Ram 1500 and loved them and got 75,000 miles on the set. They are very advanced technically and have neat tread wear indicators that show in the tread at different percentages left. They are snowflake rated and ride really nice...
since you haven't decided on what tire you are buying yet, I am assuming you haven't decided on where you are buying yet either...I have always like DiscountTire but they aren't in all locations...my last three sets of tires however have been bought off Simpletire.com They are almost never beat...
I can try to post a video from inside with doors on, but honestly, they are quiet and I don't think you will really notice...with doors off, they are quiet. I ran BFG MTR on my JKR and really liked them, but for the money, I really don't think you can beat Patagonias and they look cool too...
Second this, and surprised the first mention of these were on page two...I'm on my second set. Put 31,000 on 35's and sold them with 50% tread for 37's. Super quiet, handle great and good off-road. They are technically a hybrid AT/MT even though they are listed as a MT. They don't actually...
I would look at Metalcloak's true dual rate system. I would custom build it with their 3.5" rear springs and 2.5" front springs. You can use stock shocks with ext or use their Rocksport shocks or use any other shock you want, but I like their Rocksport shocks. You shouldn't need their Game...
So you would just throw the duck on the ground? Do you litter often? I agree with the other sentiments that getting ducked may not be your thing...I have not been ducked and don't have a stock of ducks in my Jeep for ducking, but never ever would my reaction be "keep your hands off what's not...
I second this. I started with a Ace Engineering upper decker but ended up not liking that I gave up my bed to anything tall and it limited the footprint of a RTT that could fit since it couldn't overhang the cab. I like my set up now. My JT isn't my daily driver, so the RTT will likely stay...
There are several out there now, but all depends on what you are looking for and overall goals...the RTT shells are very pricey...looking at $10K and up. You could go with something like a PCOR smart tray and canopy, but that doesn't integrate a popup tent/camper but allows for a RTT to be...
