  1. Jeep Gladiator value in the toilet

I think the auto industry is finally correcting post-Covid, and not that it's specifically Gladiators. I watch a few youtube channels from people that are in the business of buying used cars (usually at auctions), fixing them up some, and then selling them. These guys will also usually walk...
  2. My 2022 Gladiator burned down... how?

Honestly it sounds like you need to lawyer up. Allstate says it's Jeep, and Jeep says it's not them. Were these mods done by the dealership? It could have been that the wiring job they did was awful, and caused the fire. I'm really sorry this happened to you. Like others have said with the...
  3. Who uses a dash cam and what do you recommend?

Garmin Mini 2 here. It's simple, small, and easy to pull videos off of through the app, and it also has where you can say "Hey Garmin, save video" and it'll save the last minute or so. I threw in a decent sized memory card, and just let it do it's thing without thinking about it.
  4. What's everyone doing with their spare tire?

I'm not quite there yet, but eventually I'll need to replace my stock tires (I have the duelers that came on some Willys). I'm probably going to stick with the same size so that I don't have to recalibrate my speedometer or anything, but I'm definitely going with something else. I've never done...
  5. Ford Lays Off 700 from EV Production - NOT Strike Related

They were so ridiculous trying to make one of their big pushes into EVs with a truck given the technology and infrastructure that currently exists. If you use it for anything besides driving down the road you get a fraction of the range. Towing? Off-road? Sorry, you're gonna get half your range...
  6. Does anyone really like or have the High Velocity Color

I would absolutely have gotten it if I had the opportunity. I love the weird unique colors that manufacturers sometimes come out with.
  7. Which Gladiator are you buying?

I have the Willys. It was on sale during the shortages, and is more than enough for what I need it for. If money wasn't an issue for me though, I would have gotten the Mojave.
  8. Rust proofed the Gladiator today

As someone who grew up in the deserts of West Texas... what is this frame rust you speak of?
  9. EcoDiesel Help!

While I know it's probably just the vocal minority of people who have had issues with the ecodiesel, I've heard way too many horror stories about it to ever think about getting anywhere near one.
  10. 30K mile JT oil analysis

I usually try and go by the saying "Change the oil at half the intervals the engineers recommend, and your vehicle will last twice as long."
  11. Someone talk me out of trading in..

Do whatever you want man, but this mentality is why so many people are drowning in debt. You have a perfectly fine truck now, and are wanting to lose money trading it in for a truck that is basically the same, and then pay an extra YEAR of payments at a higher interest rate!
  12. Making a quieter truck, where to start?

You know, I tried to figure out ways to make the inside quieter when I was on the highway during a long drive. The noise isn't bad around town, or if I'm hopping on the interstate for half an hour or less, but it definitely would get to me anything over that. I looked at a lot of options, and I...
  13. The 2024 Gladiator Reveals on 9/13/23!

Other than no 4xe, this is basically what I was thinking it would be. Wranglers get brand new generations like once a decade right? So I figure we have another 2 or 3 years at minimum with the Gladiator before we get some all-new Gladiator model.
  14. Potential New Commute

I had a 120 mile roundtrip commute for 8 years. It wasn't awful because it was all highway, and ended up being an hour there and an hour back. The biggest hurdle is boredom, and I found that podcasts and audiobooks were a lifesaver. As for comfort, you may want to do a trial drive and see what...
  15. Autopian: "Jeep Is In Trouble And Hopes Nostalgia Can Save It"

lol you live in Colorado, of course Jeep sales are going to be good there in a mountainous state with snow and ice. The data isn't only in your little bubble of the country. If I went by what I see in Colorado I'd think that Subarus and Jeeps were the most popular car brands in the country.
  16. Autopian: "Jeep Is In Trouble And Hopes Nostalgia Can Save It"

COVID car sales were a wild time. Dealers couldn't keep vehicles on the lot because people were so concerned that it was going to get worse and worse, so if you were thinking about getting a new car in the next couple of years, there is a good chance you just went for it then and there just in...
  17. Stop/Start Upgrade

Looks like this guide would be the same for what you ordered more or less:
  18. Holy Mopar Fuel Pumps....is this anyone here???

Funny how when it's a dealership vehicle, they are able to get the parts in immediately and get it repaired in a couple of days, but when it's a customer vehicle the parts are on back order for months, and when they come in, it takes weeks for the technicians to get to it...
  19. Tazer JL - an easy way to get the stock connectors unplugged

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a shot when it cools down outside. I've had my autostop eliminator since I got my Gladiator new in 2021, but I've never been able to unplug the connector under the dash. Some people have been able to do it no problem, and others are like me where we have tried...
