  1. How Hot? Is to Hot?

Here in MN, 40 deg is my lower limit. However, that requires a coat, gloves, and hat. 60 deg is quite pleasant with pants and long sleeves. Cold weather group makes doors/top off more accessible in lower temps.
  2. How Hot? Is to Hot?

Above roughly 98.6 deg F, the wind will heat you up.
  3. So, what is everybody towing?

Awesome! What speed were you able to maintain over these passes? Any trouble braking on the way down?
  4. Jeep Places in Top 11 of JD Powers Initial Quality Survey

I am highly biased but know this can’t be true...
  5. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Looks like a fun time. Where in Dresser is this?
  6. Clunking noise after 3.5" lift

The shop probably tightened something before it was on the ground, and now the connections are shifting. The springs don’t settle. They may be misaligned. If it were me, I’d check the spring alignment in the perches. Then, while it’s on the ground supporting its own weight, I would loosen all...
  7. Any issues from rain storm with no top?

Much is like the JL. Jeep did mist tests and learned from those putting little gutters inside to protect electronics. If anything fails, let it dry for a while before trying again. Make sure all seats and carpet are dry to avoid mold growth. Carpets can be pulled to dry more effectively. In...
  8. How to Adjust the Slop out of the Steering System (I am finally happy with my Jeep)

Exactly. My JL had an oil leak. I self diagnosed it as a rear main seal failure. The service manager said they don’t know why it’s leaking but could replace the rear main seal or “wait and see.” I asked them to replace it. That involved removing the transmission. After it was done, I asked the...
  9. How to Adjust the Slop out of the Steering System (I am finally happy with my Jeep)

Again, I’m just guessing based on what I’ve read. With many reported cases of JL steering locking up at high speeds, this is different than something like an alignment that’s slightly off. Dealers replace broken parts. They don’t tune much of anything.
  10. How to Adjust the Slop out of the Steering System (I am finally happy with my Jeep)

Probably could have selected a better example. Here are some more: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/steering-locked-up-when-going-around-a-curve.39526/page-7 https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/steering-locked-up-and-dash-lit-up.31489/...
  11. How to Adjust the Slop out of the Steering System (I am finally happy with my Jeep)

I have followed the steering issues on the JL forums for two years now. I don’t know for sure, but the most sensible explanation I’ve read is FCA has the spec biased towards loose to avoid gear binding at cold temperatures. Here is one example...
  12. Loose Steering Box Bolts

Here are the actual torque specs from FCA for the Gladiator as of yesterday. The long bolts are in the front. This may yield more than 99 ft lbs.
  13. Finally available! > 2020 Jeep Gladiator Accessories - Trailer Brake Controller - 82215652

Not enough power when towing? I expect high revs and hope the “enhanced cooling” works well. Where do you put the zip tie?
  14. Finally available! > 2020 Jeep Gladiator Accessories - Trailer Brake Controller - 82215652

I bought a Curt Echo. Will try it on Wednesday when I pick up my trailer. Other solutions aren’t available or need wire swapping, diodes, drilling, etc. 7000+ lbs advertised towing capacity! Off the lot, perhaps a small utility trailer without its own brakes.
  15. Finally available! > 2020 Jeep Gladiator Accessories - Trailer Brake Controller - 82215652

Has anyone actually received and installed the Mopar trailer brake controller? Do the dealers have them? The online part stores don’t show whether it’s in stock or how long it takes to ship. Does anyone have the instructions?
