I made this drawer and deck system for my fridge and battery.
It's served me for a few years but it's getting a little long in the tooth.
I'd like to replace it with some extruded aluminum stuff but the design process is more difficult than it should be.
Watching that guy on top of that line and touch it with his hands made me feel like I was watching one of those "when it goes wrong" videos. Neat solution though.
Yea I'm pretty sure if I got totaled in an accident we'd have to switch to a single car family for a year or so...
Or I'd be driving a used Ford Fiesta for a year or so...
My wife's Subaru Wilderness has that auto-dim feature. It basically never lets me turn the high beams on when I want them if there's street lights and I'm just trying to see if there's any deer or people that might walk out of the park near my house and try and cross the street at night. Yea it...
I guess all I can say is when I researched the best towing option to replace my JKU that was struggling to tow the gas sport s with basic tow package was more than enough, now my wife made us buy a pop-up that’s heavier than what we were towing and it’s still plenty capable. It is what it is and...
IMO you shouldn’t pass 60 while towing with a non commercial rated vehicle. I keep it in manual 7th gear unless it’s a pita. Temps always stay low. But I’m a stock sport s with towing (not max tow) 3.6 gasser. So I can’t speak to how much the diesel is affecting that. Good luck, maybe just take...
I would never risk my starter battery to run my fridge.
I just have a little ecoflow battery to keep it running when the ignition isn't on. Then I plug that in whenever I'm near shore power.
I built a little power switch so I can switch from the bed power supply (which sucks) to shore power with...
Same after a 10 hour trip x2 then a 6 hour trip x2, while towing.
I use it but only on the highway and often keep it in manual.
2nd trip was through the mountains and I was not comfortable in cruise control.
Crazy how people drive through winding mountain roads, I started to go faster without...
I just posted on page 8. It was really neat. We biked around town in the afternoon/evenings and drove right onto the beach in the morning. Wasn’t too crowded. I know you can drive Hatteras but I wonder if it was less crowded.
Nice, I'm going to the outer banks NC next week if my son's health improves, so the Gorilla tape will be my go to for now. Then I'll look into more permanent options.
