Can someone confirm that if I don't care about the remote windows up/down lock/unlock stuff (aka I only want the one touch feature) that the two wires to the kick panel are not needed? Just the module and the 12v?
Thanks.
I should have mentioned that the mounting issue is ONLY if you are using the real bead lock rings. Traditional mounting is fine.
I wanted the JL offset also. In my opinion they fit perfectly under the flares. I did not want 1/2 the tire sticking out on the sides.
See post above about mounting. The mounting lip on the Milestars are a bit angled. Actually ended up trimming them straight with a razor which helped mounting tremendously. Other than that fiasco, I love the setup so far. So far the tires have done very well in anything I've put them through.
Yes, that's a new number. Also my dealer said he wouldn't expect to be able to get his hands on one until Oct/Nov timeframe....
The good news is....hopefully this is a final fix.
And yes. I'll be keeping the synergy brace along with the fix.
I'll still be keeping mine on there. supporting that sector shaft is not a bad idea. Necessary? maybe not...but i've seen them break. Plus the trac-bar reinforcement can't hurt either.
It reads to me that the new bolts are steel...not the box. But that could elude to a steel box also.
Also if you don't really have a problem...at least wait until those of us with real problems get the parts as they come available..... heck if your alum steering box is good I'll trade you.
The front axle is offset with the lift. Do you need the adjustable trac-bar? Nope. Will it drive fine, yes. 2 reasons I can see, one is to recenter the axle and two is for more strength. 2" lift generally means bigger tires.
The rear trac-bar is not offset nearly as much with the lift because...
At this point I'm going to go with your answer based on what I've found so far. The beadlocks aren't exactly quick or easy to swap the sensors on. Might just turn off the TPMS system for now until these tires wear down. Thanks guys. Helpful info.
Has anyone else had problems with the rear TPMS senders not being picked up? Ever since I went with my 37s and 2" lift I now can't get a reading from the rear. I did get new OEM TPMS units...and all 4 do work. Verified by local tire shop. The rear never picked up so I rotated front to rear...
It made a difference..but not nearly enough. Jeep still wanders all over the road. If there is enough play in the box, just supporting the sector shaft at the other end isn't going to fix gear play.
I've contacted PSC. So far the only have a JL kit. The JT is a slight bit different from what I...
I have one of those and it did NOT fix my problem. My problem is clearly inside the steering box which this brace can not help. I have given up hope on Jeep and can ONLY hope one of the aftermarket steering companies will come out with a properly working box.
I have one, it doesn't "fix" it. It seems to help a bit by supporting the other end of the sector shaft. But only a corrected steering box will actually fix it.
