Just like with the Raptors some company will come out with a kit that will bolt to both sides of the frame rails. These worked on the Ford Raptors. They are simply plates of steel cut to the contour of the frame rails then bolted to the frame rail one kit even had a metal bar from one frame rail...
I have the brace and have noticed no difference but my truck has always driven good. I bought it to beef up the mounting point at the frame and not for any steering issues. Combined with a heavy duty drag link and track bar the combination could improve steering.
I bought the Pro X Unlimited with shocks and i can`t complain about the shocks in any manner, for their price i think they are a bargain. Removing the track bar and replacing it with the cradle along with the quad springs makes the rear very stable very un-truck like in the rear. I got the best...
Stock the Rubicon comes with triple rate springs at the rear a lot of lifts offer dual rate springs so you need to be careful. RK offers a quad rate spring for the rear and i`ll tell you it`s nice loaded or unloaded, i would contact them to see if they will offer a 2.5.
I like them only 1500 miles so far and no complaints at 28 psi front and rear. They track well and have a comfortable ride and the price was right from Northridge 4x4.
Yeah... if i had to do it again it would go a lot quicker. Before i decided to do it myself, i contacted DCD Customs, Genright and Redlands Off Road and they all said about 15hrs. so when i finished from start to finish in 16hrs doing it alone i felt pretty good.
