The LED fogs in my Mojave plastic bumper fit right into the Arcus brackets; they use 4 mounting tabs. The supplied adapters are for the 3-tab fogs.
I called OMIX and they said the stock T55 M12x1.75x50 mounting bolts are grade 8.8. That grade is a bit lower than USA grade 5 (110,000 psi vs...
I had a 2020 max tow and its tow rating came from the small, light tires, lighter overall weight, plus 4.10s. When you put on big, heavy tires, it isn't max tow anymore. If you go too big, 4.10s aren't enough either. The allure of the max tow package for many of us comes from the presence of...
If you need just a bit more height in the bed, get some thick foam weatherstripping and put the adhesive side against the bed rails before mounting the tonneau cover.
I carry a floor jack, bottle jack, and Hi-Lift jack. I use them in that order of preference. Yes, the Hi-Lift can be dangerous, as Ronny Dahl described in his video. When you need the extreme lift, it may be the only resort.
I had a similar situation with my earlier model 12k Badlands winch. The box has 4 fat cables coming out and hit the grille. It attaches to two cross rails of the winch with metal brackets that look like heavy staples that are partly bent so the back hooks around one rod and the front has a...
My 2022 Mojave LED fogs have the 4 screw mounting and directly bolted to the Arcus pods. The Arcus adapters are used to mount fog lights which have only 3 screw positions.
My 2020 max tow axles did not have bosses for the electric locker controllers. I don't know if the tubes were as thick as the Mojave, etc. which could be another difference beyond axle spline count and iron vs. aluminum spindles.
I snug the bolts to partially compress the foam seals, or in the case of the front bolts, until they are fairly tight without danger of cracking the plastic.
I got one of those DNA tri-fold soft tonneau covers a couple weeks ago and paid more for it than the current discount price. It fits fine and seems to be decent quality. For the front clamps to attach directly to the steel bed lips, I used a propane torch to heat the blade of a box cutter and...
check around on price, but I chose the arcus which weighs about half as much. I will run a winch so I am trying to keep the weight down. 133 lb for a stubby front bumper is a lot.
A few things to add to the equipment discussion--
I didn't choose a Mojave this time because of the pricy shock system, I was more interested in the beefed up frame, knuckles, and suspension brackets, etc. For me, 4.10 with the 8 speed was perfect and the 2.72 was plenty of reduction.
I had...
