My 2020 had regular glass and it lasted almost 3 years. My new Mojave was bought off the lot and happened to come with gorilla glass, a $295 option. I probably wouldn't have specified that option if I had ordered, but there are other options that cost more and I probably would have hesitated...
I am happy with the Arcus. It looks good (had it one month so far), adds little weight--100 lb with the 12k winch--resulting in a front end drop of 3/8 inch. I am using the original Mojave skid plate which clears the bumper by over an inch. Rust is almost unheard of here in Vegas but the...
I too have little hope of finding a home for my OEM plastic front bumper. I had to take it apart to get the fog lights and harness, and also took out the orange hooks. But then, I also have two sets of OEM rock rails to trip over.
This would also be a good time to select any aftermarket bumpers. If you want a winch in the front, now is the time to check prices. Some choices are a lot cheaper than others. The factory steel bumper is "winch capable" but requires an expensive winch plate to be purchased separately, for...
I carry shackles but if using them on the bumper, I would have a strap attached so using Loctite or gorilla tightening them would be a problem if the Jeep is stuck somewhere "unpleasant." I keep them under the rear seat.
I got bitten by the orange bug for my Mojave. I want to paint the winch hook, etc., the correct orange. I found a hundred of them (who would have guessed?)--Kubota orange, Husqvarna orange, Chevy orange, pumpkin orange, and so on. I bought two at Lowe's and the cap (assuming it is close to...
My Wrangler Rubicon came with the KM mud tires. I did not rotate them and by 20,000 miles they had cupped badly. Never had that problem with other tires.
I have a Curt Discovery and 51527 harness. The harness plugs into the Jeep connector behind the knee bolster, along the bottom instrument panel metal frame. Way easier to access on a 2022 than the 2020 which had the Jeep connector tucked into the harness up higher near the kick panel.
