2022 Mojave Springs

Just picked up a 2022 Mojave and noticed the springs are black not silver are all 22 Mojave's coming with black springs now?

Not that the color matters just found it odd and want to make sure I got the correct springs.

I Noticed this as well and have been meaning to compare them to the gray ones to see if there is a difference other then color.

Spring number could be different just cause of the color, take the Mojave out and run over speed bumps at speed or railroad tracks the nasty kind, you will know if you got the right springs. My grandkids still make me fly across the tracks arms up yelling faster faster, I will never grow old!….Jack

Yeah looks like they changed the tag and part number but I’m sure it’s the correct as mines not the only one. Thanks Jack.

Noticed the black springs on my 22 Mojave as well today.

Has anyone figured out why this is? Or if they changed anything more than just the color? My mojave is riding on the rougher side, I owned a JTR before this and it rode smoother. Trying to figure out if these black springs could be the culprit.

Went to the dealer recently and all the 2022 Mojave's had black springs so looks like they just dropped the silver. Also asked and dealer they had no idea and said they've always been black which is clearly wrong.

Glad I was able to find this. Got a barely used 22 and noticed this as well. phew!

Noticed some silver ones for sale, and it made me curious as to why mine were black. Especially since we know they can accidentally install the wrong fenders, which is easy to spot, so why not springs.

Looking up my part numbers, Mopar just says they fit all Gladiators, and don't specify they're originally Mojave springs. Same lack of specification for older Mojave and non-Mojave springs found here https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/rubicon-or-mojave-front-springs-on-maxtow.40972/

Per this thread though, they switched to black springs some time in 22. And I have the same part as OP, so I guess I'm in the clear.

I agree they do not know enough, but I'll give them a pass on this.

Not many people know the color of the springs for all models, for all trim levels, for all years.
