  1. Arcus bumper install

A quick chop with a sawzall blade removed the humps from the Arcus cover so the XHD mounts would work.
  2. Engine code P0128 (Coolant Thermostat)

I replaced it on my daughter's JK (2015) and all is good now. I got the genuine Mopar part.
  3. Rock Hard 4x4 Sliders

I don't plan to attack boulders with my angled-up Rock Hards, but they are great defenders against the mall rats opening their doors into me. :)
  4. Deadman vs Earth Anchor (ie: Pull Pal or the like)

Ronny Dahl tested such devices. Sand Winching, best sand anchors off-road (youtube.com)
  5. Arcus bumper install

The XHD brackets stick out from the grille at the junction to the fender by about 9.3 inches.
  6. Arcus bumper install

I did cut off the "bulges" at the chackle mounts on my Arcus shell to facilitate using the 3/4" shackles.
  7. Arcus bumper install

The holes in the XHD brackets are 1" diameter. 3/4" shackles with 7/8" diameter pins are generally used with them.
  8. My 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gladiators Compared

I have owned two Gladiators (max tow and Mojave) after two JKUs. The Mojave has been the best, and I like it better with narrower 255-80-17 tires which are E rated but about 10 lb each lighter than the stock tires. Out here in the West, 70-75 mph are the speed limits on highways and it gets...

  10. Rolling with ducks now

After a long dry spell, I got ducked twice this week! I looked around the parking lot after each "incident" and in one case saw a suspicious Jeep with ducks on its dash, so I had to duck it back.
  11. Adding a rear tow hook.

I put an aftermarket rear bumper on my Mojave so have the factory bumper and tow hooks "in the shed."
  12. Aftermarket crossember?

Both Metal Cloak and Motobilt offer the crossmember that the trans mount uses. I chose the former as it is anti-rust coated and less expensive when MC offers free shipping and/or 10% off. I don't know of any offerings to replace the little crossmember with all the holes in it that is welded to...
  13. Rear Differential drain

I drilled and tapped my CavFab covers 1/8 NPT for drain plugs.
  14. Replacing Diff Covers with CAVFAB Diff Covers

I filled them to stock height, which is a bit below the fill plug levels.
  15. Replacing Diff Covers with CAVFAB Diff Covers

1.25 qt front, 1.75 qt rear in my CavFab covers.
  16. Is 200 pounds too heavy for a set of rock sliders?

My Rock Hards are a lot lighter than 200 lb. I guess around 120 lb for the pair.
  17. Mopar performance sliders vs rock hard 4x4

I chose Rock Hard angled up and like them. They are very strong, well made, and protect the doors from mall rats slamming their doors open. No matter where I park, someone decides that must be the ideal area and joins me.
  18. Question about a winch install?

HF 12k with Arcus, no trimming.
  19. Help Me Decide

I got a Mojave with the cold weather pkg (wife really wanted it), LED (great option). I do see the difference in miles as significant. However, after driving and loving stick shifts for decades, I would say you need to try the 8 speed auto before deciding. I much prefer it on my JT. Also...
  20. California Wtb: stock front and rear plastic bumpers complete

I have the original bumpers from my Mojave, in Vegas area.
