I'm not sure exactly what changed, although I suspect it is something in the communications protocol. I've been trying to find the new sensors for the wheels I ordered, and the sensors are backordered everywhere. Here's a link to further discussion;
TPMS sensors updated on builds after 6/5/21...
I agree. I had this motor in my last JLU, and it was superior to the Pentastar in torque and fuel economy, without question. The exhaust note left a lot to be desired, but I'd buy one again in a heartbeat. Wish it was an option on the JT.
Nope. when I was 18 and had my first Jeep, a 1995 YJ with manual steering, no a/c, and and zipper windows, I couldn't understand how someone could ever buy a Jeep with a hardtop or automatic. Didn't they understand the purity of a Jeep? 23 years later, and I've passed on Gladiators that...
Could you be catching a reflection off something on sunny days? My last house had an area of discolored and distorted siding where the sun would reflect off a window. It might even be reflecting off your side panel onto the fender.
This may seem obvious, but have you checked that it’s looking at the right state? I live near a state line, and sometimes it defaults to the wrong state. Just a thought.
Nice! I have to admit, I'm surprised to see they didn't spec a "true" 35" tire, but went with the metric sizing (I'm assuming for the C load rating). BF Goodrich says this has an actual diameter of 34.41 inches.
Also love that you can now get 4.88 axles from the factory. That will be a huge...
Welcome!
There are some Gladiators that have steering issues, as evidenced by those on the forum. The best predictor for steering issues seems to be the test drive. If you've driven the Gladiator you're considering purchasing, and the steering was fine, you more than likely will not have any...
Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life. This song was big the summer I got my first Jeep, a 1995 YJ, and to this day having the top off and that song playing makes me feel 18.
Something is definitely not right with your install, there should not be contact between these members. Have you checked that the spring seats are installed correctly, and the springs are correctly indexed?
If you have some pictures, that would be helpful.
Appreciate the thorough write up! Can you speak to any long term issues you anticipate from disabling the ESS? I installed the Autostop eliminator, and love not having to think about ESS, but I've wondered if it will give me battery problems in the future since its never being used. Thoughts?
