If I had the option of doing it, or renting a tow vehicle for the trailer and then driving the truck down, it would be a no brainer for me.
I'd follow my own advice above.
But as I think through it, I'd also drive only at night.
60 mph, no cruise control, in 4th gear in the right lane...
With the right judgement, I think it could be done easily and safely.
1) Don't even try to use 6th gear. The idea is to make power with RPM not torque so as to subject the clutch to less stress. 4th might even be ideal. Remember that revving the pentastar won't hurt it. Even for many hours...
I understand. Your question excluded pressing the mute button or turning the volume down.
I've found that the only (best?) solution to turning down the radio quickly while still leaving the ability to talk on the phone or get phone notifications is to turn the volume down.
I was just about to mention that you should do the stuff Jeep recommends and anything else that makes sense to you.
When I was a service writer we would always get these snake oil salesmen trying to get us to add stuff into our service. Wyns Xtend comes first to mind.
The "problem" with...
I have a full sound deadener install in my Gladiator. It did make a difference.
Though the bulk of the wind noise that I can detect seems to be coming from the front edge of the gutters.
I keep hoping I'll find a ratty set of freedom panels I can cut the gutters off of to experiment with.
Oof. I didn't realize it was that heavy. I'd almost prefer if it was made of thinner steel. Of course if it was aluminum, it would weigh 40 lbs and cost $1500.
The full sized is a great looking bumper. More like a 3/4 and just the right size
I bought a bunch of bike tubes from Slime for my kids bikes. They came with neon green caps. I've got those on the Jeep now because it's easy to find them if I drop them or put them down somewhere and don't pay attention to where I put them. Ha.
The rubicon transfer case is 4:1 in low range and 1:1 in high range.
When you get the rubicon with "auto" or full time 4wd, they call it Full time RocTrack.
Everything else gets a transfer case with a 2.6:1 low range and 1:1 in high range.
When you get them with "auto" or full time 4wd, they...
Mine was mostly stock. I had a Cobb Accessport tuner with a custom tune and a cat-less mid pipe.
On 93 Octane gas it made 310 hp at the wheels, or about 360 hp total. But that doesn't really tell the whole story. It made about 350 ft-lbs of torque from 2500 rpm to about 5000 rpm. At which...
Here in NH, it's also pretty common for cars to be broken into at trailheads. But most of the time it's just junkies looking for something they can sell. Cars generally don't get stolen.
Shadow papa. a bit off topic, but a couple of months ago I told you I turned my auto high beams off because of bad experience with my previous car.
You mentioned that it worked great so I tried them. They do in fact, work great.
Yes. They work great
I had one of those in my previous car.
As the kids got older, they didn't like how something like that intruded into their passenger space. My oldest is now 5'4" so she's adult sized.
In 04 I got one of the first STis brought into the US. I got it in March and put off getting a set of mounted snows until the next winter. It snowed a couple of times and it was terrifying.
The STi had a center differential that sent 75% of the torque to the rear wheels and based on wheel...
The europeans are so far ahead in safety software, it's almost hard to wrap your head around unless you have experienced.
My primitive old 2007 Volvo S80 had software that sensed emergency braking and when it did it immediately put the pedal to the floor and right into the ABS.
I triggered...
I've played around with it and don't notice a difference. Though there must be some difference or FCA wouldn't have included the FAD on all new Jeeps.
When in 4H Auto the FAD connects, so even if there isn't any torque being sent to the front axle, the differential is turning. It isn't...
Some of those systems are definitely more advanced than SelecTrac.
However, our system is architecturally identical to what VW and Audi use in the Golf R, Jetta, and A3 and possibly in the non-S model A4s. I can't speak to the software, but I suspect that the software in something like a Golf...
I got some cheapie dump pouches on Amazon.
2 on the back of each seat for the kids. One is used as a drink or sunglass holder and the other as a garbage bag.
Passenger side inner bag is reserved for me to use for garbage because I can reach it while driving.
$15 for 2...
