I guess the first question is if you just want a shackle that is strong, US made and functional.
Or if you want a piece of Jeep jewelry.
If you are looking for function then check this out:

Of course soft shackles are just as strong and safer, but I know...
It's so funny that there are people who drag their paint along trees and people who worry about water spots on a roof they never see.
Enjoy. I'm glad there are both types on this forum. I hope you find your answer.
I'll check my Mojave shortly. It's a different transfer case, but I'd have to think that if they use straight cut gears for low range on one, they'd use it on the other.
Do they use straight cut (rather than helical cut) gears in low?
To the OP. Most transmissions use straight gears for reverse. If the noise is similar then it may because low range uses straight cut gears.
It won't be identical because in reverse you are getting noise from the transmission...
I use the manual function of my AT all the time.
Just this morning I was driving up to a ski mountain in my (gas) Gladiator at about 50 mph. When the road flattened out for a second, it would run up to 8th, then with a slight rise it would grab 5th or 6th.
If I lock it in 7th for part of...
To the OP. I don't know how much experience you have towing, but a big part of this question has to do with
1) how often
2) how fast
3) how high and hot
4) how is it equipped - bags? Load distributing hitch?
5) Trailer? dual axles do better heavier.
I would not hesitate to use my Mojave...
That company's entire line up of products looks like it was designed by a drunk 12 year old boy.
But if you like it . . . go for it. It's better than the angry /. grumpy grills.
They charge $500 for a "nitrogen fill". Amazing.
It's funny, Costco does a nitrogen fill when you buy tires from them. But they give it to you. And they will top off your tires any time for free. Ha.
Yes, I got an early 2022. Ordered in Sept 2021, picked up in Jan 2022. The price increase from end of year 2021 to first 2022s about $2000, but was entirely added standard equipment. Once I optioned out the 2022 the way I had the 2021 optioned up there was essentially zero price difference...
A big turbo 4 with 310 hp and 430 ft-lbs of torque. Sign me up.
But the top and doors still don't come off. Just to put that in perspective that's
160!!! ft-lbs more torque than our gasser makes.
You might want to work backwards from 46K and see what MSRP that will get you new from a discounting dealer.
46k at Gupton means 45,5 ish with their doc fee.
45,500 sell price is going to be 50 ish for a MSRP.
That will get you a stripped Mojave or Rubicon or an optioned up sport.
One...
Have you tried giving one of the discounting dealers a call. My truck stickered at 63 and I got it for 56.
I don't know what options the used ones had, but you should be able to buy a strippie for about 34k. Or a base rubicon for about 45k from one of teh discounting dealers.
And this is why I bought my truck from Gupton at 7% under invoice.
It was less than I could pick something up locally USED.
And let me tell you the Gupton deal was ZERO stress, ZERO hassle.
I sent them a build, he sent me a configurtion from the dealer tool. If it was what i wanted, I...
Its all crap. PV = nRT is in charge all the time, regardless of the gas in question. However, (and I don't remember the details) the pressure will change more for a given change in temperature if there is water vapor in the gas. So . . .
Lets look at the goals.
1) Inexpensive
2) Not...
