as I built this unit, i was not to worried about the weight so much as the ability to do what i wanted to do. I did however, as i built the system kept track of the weight. once i had everything done, i weighed the jeep 45 times to see how the weight did change and where the change occured...
I have a complete JCR unit and I have found there is not much of a problem as to weight on the back. when i am not playing, i take off the tire and spare and run around the local area. the weight for the vehicle with all of the mods i have done is 5660. when i add just the tire and the fuel cans...
I have a 2009 ultra classic with 202,000 miles and a 2020 jeep gladiator with 61,000 miles and to answer your question is very simple - they are both money pits as Mr. Bill puts it. the jeep is simple -Just Empty Every Pocket and the Harley is add an extra 100 dollars for what ever has the name...
i have the LOD Armor Lite Rocksliders with the steel skid plates and have used them down in Moab as well as wind rock in Tenn. and i really do like them. the pictures below are recent and they were repowder-coated in February. I bought them when the first came out. I am going to try them out on...
yes sir. this is not your standard Overland. I have heavily modified this vehicle. I have thought about adding a snow plow to it, but for the cost to how much that i would use it does not add up. I will stay with the snow blower for cleaning my driveway off.
I am not here to hijack this thread because i was born in Toledo Ohio and learned how to plow snow when I learned how to drive using a 1974 Chevy Blazer with a full hydraulic plow in 1977.
However, i want to say that my Overland is not just for going back and forth to school but to play as hard...

as i have only used the lift 3 times i am not sure yet, but i will be using this next week to remove the bumper and LOD rock sliders for powder coating and reinstall. then in the spring i am going underneath the jeep to do some heavy work with the lift outside.

I am looking for another hood and a center console. it is a 1972 350 sl roadster and is all metric for the gauges. for a vehicle that was in germany for 13 years, the body is not in bad shape. it does have some rust in the wheel wells and three small spots in the floor pans. i have...
you should look at buying a max jax lift system. I ordered this unit the end of Oct and it arrived on the 10th of Nov. I had it up and running on monday Nov 20th and the intent is to use it outside when nice and inside when the weather is cold and or wet.
