Installed Bilstein Steering Stabilizer. What a PITA... The carriage bolt on top the knuckle side of the OEM stabilizer doesnt fit the Bilstein eye hole due to the carriage section.
After some research, turns out I needed a GRADE 8, 1/2" X 3 bolt and corresponding nut/lock-washer. Probably could...
Likely because most people dont want more things to have to remember to do as far as maintenance is concerned.
There is also the degradation that is inherent in engines and that many people just take their vehicles to the dealer they bought it from whenever anything goes wrong.
Taking steps...
Just checked my J&L Oil Separator at 5-600 miles since install and this is what came out. Not a lot for sure (maybe an 1/8th of the small can) but it is doing what it says. I plan to re-check every couple months, noting mileage at empties.
Just checked the can and this is what it captured over 5-600 miles of driving with it. About 1/8 to 1/4 full (the nornal small can). Not as much as I have seen others record but the engine is new, just over 1000 miles overall.
Plan is to check it every 2-3 months, noting mileage between.
Thanks! Its about 3.5 wks old and has made a few touchless carwash stops... :)
I dont have this item yet but have seen it. Does it interfere with leg room at all?
Thanks!
I havent noticed any rub but my wheels are -6 offset which may be helping with any rubbing at full lock in either direction. No clearance issues yet. I have the 1.5" Teraflex (front) kit and 3/4 Daystar (rear) kit in my garage. Dunno if I will install it or just go full lift kit next...
I used the banks controller bcuz of "dead pedal" in my Cummins. I don't really see the Gladiator as having the dead pedal issue so doubtful I will drop the $ on another one. I think its pick up is fine for what it is. Acceleration is good. Amping that up is just gonna make the fuel economy...
Thanks for confirming. On the rears (well, using fronts for the rears), those look even harder. I've seen people install them backwards and they look like they fit better around the bends but the larger side ends up in front of the rear wheel which doesnt make any sense.
So... the cuts are...
Figured I'd start a build thread to keep my updates in one concise area vs going back to several threads to post future updates.
Have thought the Gladiators to be very cool vehicles waaaaaay back when and always thought Jeep should bring them back. Was glad when they did but got a RAM 3500...
Ordered a set in black today. Will take OP's advice and redo the tape and attempt to sand/paint in matte as well. Figuring that will add nice touch of contrast to white paint and protect the hinges for awhile if not forever.
In light of this thread, think I'll be going w/Bilstein's when its time to change shocks after a lift or even now to help reduce the body roll I have w/stock.
I just installed these on my 2023 JT HA and it was painful. The fender liners on mine must be different than other models cuz the holes in the extensions didnt match up at all in front. Ordered the 2 pairs of fronts and had to get some self tapping screws to make it work. Seems the angle of the...
Installed the Quadratec Pre-Runner LED Light Kit for 20-24 Jeep Gladiator JT.
Not too bad of an install. It required the first (of what will likely be many) removal and reinstallation of my front grill and drivers side fender liner but the harness (shown below) that was included made the...
Awesome! Was wondering what anyone's experience was with this. This is what I plan to go with as well. Want something that works well without wiring and modding the interior. I am IN!
Just eclipsed 800 miles in a couple weeks of ownership. Planning on change at 1000 miles, then again at 5000 (along with tire rotation) and every 5k after (rinse and repeat).
Been following that rule for many years now (except for the couple diesels I've had, which have their own intervals)...
I saw this last week as well on Friday when I installed my new tires. The puddle under it got my attn. It was dripping from the muffler at mid point of Truck. Chalked it up to being in the 20's low 30's and didnt notice it again since it warmed up here last few days.
