I'm not against bolting, but just haven't seen the need after using the clamps for 3ish years. I even use them as attachment points to stabilize my shelf setup.
I like the 2 new colors, and still love my Sarge green, but please bring back Patriot Blue. Living with it for ~19 years and still love it. A JT in a dark blue would look fantastic.
Dealer spent several hours trying to debug what is going on. They checked electrical connections to the PS and grounds since there were several low voltage related codes (in dealer's words), and of course drove it around a ton to try and unsuccessfully reproduce. The only thing they found was...
Not a lawyer, but "RV" is a legal definition of a vehicle class that even slide-in campers don't meet, much less our toppers. If they complain about it being an RV, ask them to specify what class of RV then (B, C, etc.).
On the upside, most people that ask me about the topper are surprised...
I just had this happen twice on a recent trip. Not sure about hard acceleration, but it was at interstate (80mph) speeds, it 100% came back each time when we reduced speed to <25mph.
Both times we were out camping in sub freezing temps, but not very far from the highway. Engine should've been...
OVRLND Jeep doing OVRLND things, just got back from Moab. Lots of slanted ledges on one trail that made me glad for the light camper and articulation of the JT.

Shoot, just saw this. I forgot about the veclro strip, I cut the velcro off the back and snugged the rug up under the rail. I mentioned in DM, but for others I had to widen the bolt hole on the rail ends closest to the tailgate and cut small holes in the rug as well for the trail rail bolts.
It was cool to watch the live streams, I hope some of the teams recorded their own days. I enjoy SCORE and KoH, but awesome seeing a true stock rally, that Bronco Sport got hammered. I wish the official channel covered what happened with Grit & Grace at the end, although I imagine their Ozark YT...
At least in the rattler prone areas around me they tend to lay on the trail in the morning as things warm up. I either ride super early (so-so as I hear the rustling grass getting back to the TH), or ride after the ambient temp was warmed up. I also pay attention to blind spots in the trail and...
Definitely, I'd need to know their study methodology to put any trust in the results. A weighting of problems based on seriousness of failure (broken cup holder vs power cutout while driving), cost to fix, average time to fix from reported, etc.
Unfortunately there's just no reliable way to...
Looking at it I think someone at Jeep has the hots for the Ford Explorer, this one looks like the 90s Exploder, and the late gen Grand Cherokees have been following the late gen Ford Explorers in the smooshed top look for some years. Not necessarily a bad thing, it's grown on me a little. Most...
Not quite apples to apples, but I have a full JKS lift (adj arms, brackets, trackbars, swaybar) on my 05 LJ for 8ish years and couldn't be happier, the thing handles down the road better than my Gladiator stock. I've banged them around in the Rockies and haven't had to mess with them at all. I'm...
Well, work was done yesterday, the mechanic mainly focused on the worn cam, although they replace matching parts as well that could wear or have caused the cam issue. He said it's not even obvious to them if there's a single point of failure, bad rocker, lifter, debris from something else bad...
I apparently do, I didn't remember ordering it but my cabover is 10" high. I certainly appreciate being able to leave our bedding "upstairs". It makes for a quicker setup/breakdown of camp, and keeps our bedding out of the bed area. We are using a 4" Exped Megamat, so inflatible which helps...
Funny, I measured my AT3w while off the truck and they were really close to 32.8. My "35" Grabber ATXs however were 34.4 while off the truck, should've just bought metric. I measure for my speedometer calibration.
