  1. Diesel Heater

I cheaped out on the Chinese heater, If I was going to spend the big money on one I would look at a Propex propane heater. I still might gravitate that direction. I carry gas and propane already and now diesel. Would cut my weight down and make it simpler.
  2. Diesel Heater

I have a cheap Chinese heater and it works fine. Lots of videos available on them, you have to not be afraid to tinker a little bit. They are pretty simple and most everything is available for repair. They have a cult following, lots of info and help available online.
  3. Happier Then or Happier Now?

I'm happy. Happier now. First accessory was a Go Fast Camper and I was reluctant, I wasn't sure how much usage it would get. I have used the heck out of it. Thousands of miles and weeks at a time, get out there baby. I've planned trips and also have just gone rouge with a very loose agenda. I've...
  4. Truck's bed is poorly made....

Just trying to clarify. Separating the rookies from the pros? Nutserts vs nuts hurts. Got it!
  5. no 4wd after tazer install

I have jscan, don't know much about the tazer. After thinking about this, does the tazer have a setting for the FAD? For instance if you installed a solid axle is there a setting to bypass the FAD? That might create what op is experiencing. Just throwing it out there.
  6. no 4wd after tazer install

Interesting. I agree with the other posts that the tazer shouldn't any effect, but it's worth a try to unmarry it, why not. The first thing I would do (having a observer or not) is put the puppy in 4 low and crank the wheel for a hard turn and drive it, you will definitely feel it if it's in 4wd.
  7. No diff drain plugs?!

I have plugs. If I wanted to remove the cover I would drain it out of the plug first anyway and inspect the magnet. I personally think they discontinued it for cost savings but I have nothing to back that up.
  8. No diff drain plugs?!

Here's some info for us people with drain plugs front and rear. The rear is offset and pretty much protected, the front could get scraped up at it's center lower location (like the picture above). There's a little skid made to protect the front drain plug. A little expensive for what it is...
  9. 23' Mojave throttle lag? heavy pedal?

Yeah, I was going to say Banks Pedal Monster thinking here comes the shit show. The people who don't like throttle controllers tend to be passionate about not liking throttle controllers.
  10. I used the jscan app

The mph + 10 happened to me once, only read high on the analog read out not the digital read out. Went back to normal in a couple days, never happened again. I also have jscan, yeah I don't believe jscan has anything to do with it. It's happened to several others on here and reverted back to...
  11. Doing The Dew, AKA Staphy's dumb question thread

Dewbicon. Lookin sweet! Yaba daba dew!
  12. Truck's bed is poorly made....

This would be the cheapest and easiest option. Get a easy rider gun rack, throw some antlers and beer cans in the back, leave the holes just like they are. Conceptual art. Conceptual art: Art in which the idea or concept presented by the artist is considered more important than its appearance...
  13. Gorilla glass?

I have the regular glass and I'm fine with that. My insurance is no deductible windshield replacement. My score card reads 1 windshield replacement, 1 rock chip fix.
  14. Paint choice - new front bumper

John Deere Blitz Black. Perennial favorite from farmers to hot rodders. I rattle canned my Pritchett Canyon front bumper with it. I always keep a couple cans in the shop. Easy touch up. It's meant as a top coat and does have some uv protection, my experience is the black plastic will fade long...
  15. Best way to buy a car in Idaho, then immediately drive 1500 miles home?

Best deal I found was out of my state and in Idaho. Local guys were jerks. Paid my state taxes at time of purchase in Idaho. Varied the rpms and followed the recommend break in procedure on the long drive home, but I have a manual transmission and it's probably easier to do. Was a nice little...
  16. Dash Cam and Mounting

Have a cheap Viofo dash cam, has worked flawless for quite some time. Mounted behind the mirror so it doesn't impede vision, don't have the adaptive cruise so I had that windshield real estate to work with. The wires go behind the plastic upper windshield trim (right side), down inside the...
  17. Bonehead mistake - put key fob in laundry

When I was snot nosed punk around 3rd grade I used to go into the hills behind our house and shoot my BB gun. Well, I had left a pocket full of BB's in my jeans and they went through the washer. Those little BB's were stuck in the dimpled drain holes of the washer, jammed in tight. Mom gave me a...
  18. What's On Your Jeep Christmas List?

I smashed my passenger side mirror and according to tracking it should be here today. Nothing exciting.
  19. Deer strike, need to replace a few parts

I hit a deer. Replaced bumper, grill, led headlights, ac condenser, that is all I can think of right now. I got a police report and had it on dash cam for insurance, but I ended up just doing it myself.
