  1. Why so many phone holders?

I don't really like how android auto neuters Google map functionality so I don't use it much. I stream music and use Google maps on my phone. I also don't want my phone just kicking around the jeep while I am driving.
  2. Jeep Unveils 7 Easter Jeep Safari 2023 Concept Vehicles, including Gladiator Rubicon Sideburn Concept and Scrambler 392 [Updated w/ Videos]

Yeah, I wasn't holding my breath anyway, but still annoying lol. Bythe time the hurricane is possibly available in the gladiator, I'll have paid off my 21 Mojave for quite a while, I'm thinking at that point rather than have to strip all my mods, trade it in and have another car payment and...
  3. AM/FM Antenna Delete - Moving From Exterior to Interior

I've wanting to do this as well, but I procrastinated too long lol, not sure why that badge is that expensive now.. I've been looking on Etsy actually, I might do a custom badge.. https://www.etsy.com/market/jeep_badge
  4. 7 pin power and ground wires gauge factory Tow Package DC to DC Charger

This is essentially my setup as well, the only difference is that I'm using renogys 50A charger and their 175 watt flexible panel. Works really well. One thing to note regarding the renogy 100ah lifepo4 battery is that they have 2 versions (well 3 if you include the self heating one): One...
  5. No metal winch rope questions

Yeah, I cut off and spliced my Apex winch line, it doesn't take too long to do and I can fix it in the field if the line breaks. The other functionality of the yankum, which I haven't had a chance to test are impact protection and the ability to undo the line if it jams in the spool...
  6. No metal winch rope questions

I cut off the end of my Apex line and spliced it to fit the yankum, so it's a relatively snug fit. I just push the loop over one side and it's tight enough to not fall off so I don't have to hold it on while I tighten it up. I probably wouldn't want to have someone else with the controller...
  7. Non Mojave with Movave Front shock reservoir mounts and Fox 2.5 Elite Shocks?

Ahh, I misunderstood... Since you don't have a Rubicon (I think the Rubicon sway bar disconnect system interferes) I can't see that you would have too much trouble getting it to work.
  8. Non Mojave with Movave Front shock reservoir mounts and Fox 2.5 Elite Shocks?

I think it's probably not an issue. The only thing I know for sure is the lower shock mount bolt on the Mojave is larger than the other models, so you'll have to drill out your shock mount tabs. Not sure if there are any other issues with the shock itself.
  9. No metal winch rope questions

That factor 55 end is probably OK to use with no thimble, assuming everything is nice and smooth. You are only putting enough tension on it to keep things from moving. I do love my yankum fairlead, but I agree it's not the cheapest thing. Maximus has something similar, although it wouldn't...
  10. A peek into our minds? Ezra Dyer's article: I'm Afraid to Start Modifying My Jeep Gladiator

You haven't lived until you have bought parts, spent actual money, before you even own the vehicle lol.. I'm not ashamed to admit I probably spent around $1k before my Mojave had even come off the assembly line..
  11. stop/start + traction control lights are on because braking system for towing behind RV?

Do you have a stock battery setup? I'm not sure how this would be possible without modifying the factory wiring.
  12. Insane Audio JL4001

Yeah, I'm definitely going to email them. There's no reason to lock it down like that.
  13. Leaking door seals

The only leaks I've had in my 21 Mojave ended up being my own fault lol. Going down engineers pass while it rained I had a constant stream of water leaking down the drivers side window and my left shoulder. Nothing when I was level. I ended up figuring out that I needed to trim a few spots of...
  14. Insane Audio JL4001

Well, my 4001 arrived this morning! Got it installed pretty quickly and overall I think it's definitely an improvement. I haven't driven with it at night, so I haven't really had a chance to play with the brightness. Pros for me: The screen seems much nicer than the 3001, it looks nice and...
  15. 7 pin power and ground wires gauge factory Tow Package DC to DC Charger

Assuming you are planning on putting the battery and DC to DC charger on the trailer, as long as you stick with probably a 15a charger at most and aren't trying to use a 30 or 50a charger I don't see any issues, this is what that connection is for. Keep in mind of course that it will take a...
  16. 7 pin power and ground wires gauge factory Tow Package DC to DC Charger

This exactly what this connection in the 7 pin is for though, there is no danger here. Yes, it's not as good as running a 6awg, but it's not going to hurt anything as long as you stay within the limitations. I'd say you could probably use a 15a charger anyway. In the jeep manual this...
  17. Genesis batteries - lets do some math

Yeah, you are correct, I was definitely recalling the wrong number lol. The duty cycle is quite low though I was very impressed with the run time. Yeah, all the calculations definitely have a lot of margin of error I guess you could say.
  18. 3D printing parts

That's ABS for the temperature tolerance. Pretty sure the cowl part will be ASA as it will be outside.
  19. 3D printing parts

Once you start thinking about stuff with a 3d printer, the possibilities are pretty endless, it's a lot of fun. I just finished this bracket for my spod mount... I'm also working on an air port using the 4xe cover..
  20. Genesis batteries - lets do some math

Yeah, I was glad I went with the 175. It worked pretty well. I've been looking at the renogy 100ah as well since it's one thing to get solar in UT, but camping here in NY there is a lot less sun and a lot more trees... Where exactly are you finding the 100ah for $350? That's a screaming deal.
