It doesn't look like this is the case and that there are indeed different sensors. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/attention-selectable-tire-fill-alert.23374/
Awesome, nicely done. Thanks.
I had another thought on this today. Based on you experience, do you know if the spare wheel has the STFA sensor as well? Curious from a tire rotation perspective, 4 vs. 5.
@Sorbs I'm looking at that winch, too. Any chance you could throw together an install thread for what you had to do to get it to fit, how the conversion went with the controller, and the lever modification you mentioned?
If it weren't a new feature that isn't at all documented, I'd award you that Dumb Ass award. For this, we'll categorize it as "learning." But yeah, I remember it has to be turned on each time.
Thanks for sticking with it and posting back here!
That's why @JOKER8R statement is troubling. Sounds like OEM sensors on custom wheels didn't work. Doesn't make sense to me but it's a new system that no one seems to be able to explain how it works.
Do you have aftermarket wheels with oem sensors and no issues with tire fill alert? I'm...
That's a bit troubling.
Good to have the additional info, thanks!
I know I'm getting hung up on this, but this is the last thing I want to figure out before deciding to go with aftermarket wheels or keep the stocks.
This thread has me thinking about a couple things I don't know the answer to:
As I look to get aftermarket wheels, it sounds like I have to swap the sensors into the new wheels as no company has the necessary sensors that support this feature. So the take-offs will have no sensors in them. Will...
+1 on this. I still need to try some towing with my JT in the mountains but I'm keeping an eye on the diesel version of the Gladiator for torque and range benefits.
Installed the Maxmate tonneau cover (for Colorado, picked up at Amazon.) Looks great and very happy with the look, function, and price. Only thing I did a bit different on the install that I haven't seen anyone else do is adding some padding under the rail corners closest to the tailgate. The...
No idea if it will help, but I reached out to Leer, ARE, and SnugTop and asked them about plans for a Gladiator top. If I hear anything different than what's in this thread I'll post back, but at least they know I'm a potential customer if they want to have me. I'd encourage others on here to...
