Installed the Bestop Sunrider (love it already, after only one test drive) and removed the tonneau cover to prepare for the ARE cap that's hopefully going on this next week.
Count me as another victim. Printed and Bestop online videos were useless, but the video and info here pointed me in the right direction. @Bestop should link to this video from their site, it was a lot more useful.
I bought a Sunrider based on this rebate, they better honor it. I sure wish I would've printed out the rebate form back when I purchased it instead of waiting until I received it (it's now changed.)
Thanks for posting these! Any chance you could throw one up with a Gladiator??
Also, these don't just work for Zoom (which I don't use due to security concerns.) They'll also work with Microsoft Teams or Skype.
Looks good with the window. I'm starting to think this is the direction I'll be going, too, since the other manufacturers aren't showing any progress and it looks like this is going to be our only choice from ARE. Just need to option it out and find a local dealer.
I pinged ARE on Facebook and got a response that the CX Classic is released as of today and it will be their only fiberglass model offered. I haven't reached out to a dealer but thought I'd share that info.
Removed at 900 miles, look brand new with zero scratches/dents. I'll also include the mounting hardware, if you need it. $300 obo, located in SE Aurora but I can meet you in the Denver metro area.
Installed Rock Hard sliders, stubby antenna, and Tazer over the last few days. The rock rails were a bit tricky so a few notes in case it helps anyone:
First, the pro tip to heat up the body mount bolts before removing is an awesome tip! I forget where I read that, but if you've posted it...
I should've clarified, thanks for calling me on it.
I prefer steel underneath based on personal experience and, admittedly, bias. I'm coming to the JT from a WK I built for wheeling, which is another long wheel base vehicle. I have the underside of the WK completely covered in steel and seeing...
This.
The references you're seeing to heat guns and breaker bars is for the body mount bolts. Factory rails don't use these and if your replacements don't either, you'll be done in 30 minutes.
