I tried grinding the skid to make the tab longer, if that makes sense. My thought was that it would fit in the mount deeper so the holes would line up, but in hindsight I should've tried making that tab thinner.

I have the full-width, but in aluminum. I can't speak to anything related to durability as I haven't tested it yet, but the design, quality, and install (which I believe is the same for mid-width) are top notch.

My dealer is working on getting the part and once he has an ETA I'll be making an appointment.

I'm up in the mountains amongst pine trees and there will definitely be some non-wheeling use cases for the winch. I'm glad to have it.

It's something to keep top of mind for sure. On that trip it got up to the 90s and the back was warm but I wouldn't say hot. That's the main reason I got the sliding windows on both sides so they could be opened up for some ventilation.
