I tried grinding the skid to make the tab longer, if that makes sense. My thought was that it would fit in the mount deeper so the holes would line up, but in hindsight I should've tried making that tab thinner.
I installed these last weekend and this is how I did it, too. On the driver side I couldn't contort my fingers enough to hold the nut for the front bolt so I just threw a piece of tape over it and stuck it up there and then threaded it on.
Now the Rock Hard rear LCA skids, that's a different...
Successful install: Rusty's rear lower control arm skid (frame side) and Rock Hard 4x4 rear shock mount skid. Solid products, easy install.
Failed install: Rock Hard 4x4 rear lower control arm skids. I pushed, pulled, pried, grinded, pulled again, grinded more, and could not get the holes to...

Finally got my line spooled on the Smittybilt winch with Factor55 link. I did have a couple issues with the winch drum, documented here for those interested.
At the advice of a friend, I decided to give the Smitty x20 a shot on this Jeep. I paired it with a RockHard 4x4 aluminum bumper, FWIW. Install was straight forward so I'm not going to go through that, but I did have a couple issues I wanted to share.
First issue: After I had the bumper and...
