  1. Loose Steering?

Welcome to Fantasy Island. the alignment was fine when it left the factory. There are multi million dollar alignment machines on the assembly line. The alignment may be affected in transit when the vehicle is chained down to the bump stops on the rail car and again on the transport truck. That...
  2. Loose Steering?

This B.S. about improperly torqued components and out of tolerance steering boxes has got to stop. This mis-information has been perpetuated from 2018 with the release of the JL Wrangler. Does anyone believe that after 2 years of JL production that there are still out of spec steering boxes...
  3. Jeep Won't Start, No Errors

Sounds like you definitely kinked a fuel line. It’s great that you straightened it but you should still have it checked. Once that plastic is linked, it could become a weak point and kink again causing you the same issue. As you hit a log, don’t expect warranty sympathy. mad far as the A/C...
  4. Wait or not to wait for 2021 model

One change will be certain—-a price increase over the 2020 model!
  5. Just got the Death Wobble on my JT....grrrr. Any advice?

As the suspension is the same as the JL, the steering stabilizer or damper has been an issue since 2018. There has been at least 2 revisions. I had my first one replaced at 13k miles and the second at 34k. I had no alignment issues, no untorqued fasteners. My tires all wore even and were...
  6. Clicking noise from front end

I’d agree with the previous comment. It sounds like the noise is coming from the pumpkin. Almost like the differential is only partially disengaged from 4wd lock.
  7. Help with a vibration | wobble

It looks like the weights were installed wrong. I just looked at the ones on my LE and they seem to be mounted closer to the wheel spokes. The weights should never come in contact with the caliper like in your picture. Take it to the tire shop and bring the bill over to the GM at the dealership...
  8. Survey- For those with misfire issues

As the 3.6 is used in the Ram, Challenger, Charger, GC and JL, there has to be a known issue and repair. There is nothing unique about the power train in a JT other than perhaps the cooling system. Have you guys looked at the other FCA forum to see if there were issues and or resolutions? Just...
  9. Mopar color matched spray paint questions ?

Fine sandpaper means automotive wet/dry sandpaper. Use wet and a minimum of 400 grit. You can also use a red scuff pad and a little Comet cleanser to wet sand. primer would be a good idea prior to the finish coat.
  10. Setting Expectations with JT Issues

I have had my LE since May and am at 3800 miles. My only issue has been a flimsy inner fender. No lifter issues, no steering issues—flawless.
  11. Power steering issue when cold

Well documented issue from 2018 JL. There is a TSB and software flash to correct it.
  12. Active Safety Malfunctions

I turned everything off on my LE. it still sends out an alarm when it senses a vehicle is close but i turned off the auto braking.
  13. Diminished Value on JT

For the Rubicon, below is the average current wholesale value: Avg Cond 4.9 Typical Range $46,600 -$53,500 I’d take the high figure and ask for 20 to 30 % of the high for diminished value. the numbers are in your favor as this is still such a new vehicle.
  14. Hidden fees?

Avg Odo (mi) 4,860 Avg Cond 4.8 Typical Range $45,100 -$46,800 this is current wholesale for your Overland.
  15. Service Stop/Start System

Bad Battery. This has been a JL issue since 2018. just had the battery replaced on my ā€˜18 JLUR at 35k miles for the same issue. it’s a manufacturer quality issue. I turn off ESS always because I hate it.and the secondary battery still failed. You want to have it replaced before it becomes...
  16. Proper way to remove decals

Heat gun works better than a hair dryer. We had a car lot for years and bought a lot of municipal use vehicles. Nothing works as well as a heat gun to remove those decals. Just be careful not to get the surface too hot!
  17. Sticky Steering Issue in cold weather.

My JT stays in the garage and the JL lives outside. after the last few cold snaps, the JL steering is sticky until the engine warms up. After that all is fine. No loss of boost since the flash update last year per the TSB.
  18. Jeep Gladiator Scrambler tribute by dealer

Drewrogers, looks pretty good. I like the Rollbar and the smiley face KC’s!
  19. Sticky Steering Issue in cold weather.

I couldn’t find the email I sent to the dealer, but search the JL forums for the TSB. I can’t remember if it was the left or right turn when the boost dropped out but was in a curve and only in cold temperatures. I sent the TSB to the dealer and they flashed the computer with the software...
  20. Sticky Steering Issue in cold weather.

My JL has the same issue when it got in the low 30’s in Houston. All it took was a software update. There was a TSB for this. I’m curious to see if my JT has the same issue if we ever have Fall!
