I have had many Jeeps over the years from a CJ5 on up. Most problems I have encountered has come from mods made to the Jeep. Had a 2006 That developed a bad "death wobble" a few thousand miles after a lift. The more computer controlled a vehicle is the greater the chance of causing a issue...
The power windows and door locks would not be a deal braker for me. I have had way more vehicles with manual windows than power. I looked at a base Sport, the reason I passed on it was because the dealer had added enough extras that it was 8K more than the Sport S with 10K in options I bought.
They missed the boat on the mirrors. If I could find a good solution I would buy it. I only pull my boat and motorcycle trailer with my JT. Use my F250 for the travel trailer.
I wonder why some aftermarket company or someone with a 3D printer has not come up with a 4" extension to push the factory mirrors out. that would solve a lot of the problems. I know it would be great with my boat.
You should be fine, my 21 foot Frontier CC weighs 3500 per paperwork, over the scales gas 3 batteries fishing gear and assorted dive gear I run 6100 last week. My gaser pulls it fine, I know its back there but no issues. I pulled it 800 miles to Key West only issue is my gas mileage dropped to 15.
I was on the road when I had my last oil change done, and the dealer tried to sell me a fuel injector service ($99) at 15,000 miles. I declined and said I only wanted the wave service.
Thinks I had a e-mail from Brandy on this. I know problems with new products, never thought the rear bumpers would be different. If I am as happy with these as I am with my headlights and fogs, I will be a happy camper.
My concern was if I had a problem with the lights will cutting the tab cause warranty issues? On the insulation video the bumper does not have the tabs. Change by jeep not Orcale new product learning experance.
Having the same issue looked at Oracle's video and the rear bumper they do the install on does not have the clip that secures the tread plate on the bumper. That's a bummer I don't to cut my new lights. They will not mount on a Sport S bumper with out mods.
I have the hide a step and a dead petal. One of the steps took a couple of weeks to receive, very well made products, communications could be better. However I will be buying from them in the future. The quality of the parts I have received is better than I expected.
I have the Mountain Off-Road Enterprises (MORE) hide a step on my JT. They mount between the Rubicon rock rails and the body of the Jeep. Solved my problems with my wife getting in the Jeep with out causing clearance issues.
I got my shipping notice today will be here on Thursday. I did not order the wiring with the lights, ordered it two weeks ago and have it looking for my lights to come in.
I had a 74 CJ5 with the 304 it was great, that said. I still have a 05 TJ with the 4.0 and I think its a better engine than the 3.6 in my Gladiator. I know its a older design butt it's much easer to work on. I would like a V8 but with all that's going on in Washington I thank I6s have a better...
i have a short list of bumpers I want, every bumper is backorder. The Reaper mid with , Quad (you know who) says it will be available Monday, Reaper says 3-4 weeks?
