    I think alot of us get the "itch" you are referring to.....unfortunately for you as your in Ca your choices are limited.     The OEM covers just pop off; you can use one of the plastic interior tools.

    Oh boy you're opening up a huge can of worms here.... let the naysayers unite!! My $0.02 is real world experience FWIW. I purchased the headlights, turn signals and fogs (yellow) from headlight revolution, about a $500 or so package - have had mine for about 2 years no issues with the product...

    I am planning to purchase this as it should be a must for solo beach trips or basically any solo trip, but at 50lbs you are right on with heavy... I have the boards; I stow them at the head of the truck bed with a cheap ratchet strap.
