Yes :like:
Also this is the kit I have in the box still, for auto locks on the cap. It'll come with it. https://www.canopylocks.com.au/rsi-smart-canopy/fur-6.html
So my dog just tore his ACL and I'm out $9k. Selling the stuff I have taken off or not used as well as my Smartcap to get out of this hole. Wasn't planning for this so I don't have pictures of everything but I'll get that together while I can tomorrow and list up everything else mentioned...
My awning is sitting in the garage until my new load bars show up. I bought 51" 8020 extruded aluminum. The awning mount will go on the ends, bars will be perpendicular to the smartcap rails. You could do it cheap with the extruded aluminum from Amazon, but you might regret going cheap.
Is there anything on the top of the inner tent (sandwiched under the bottomside of the awning) you can clip to?
If not you could try placing a flat metal plate on top of the awning and a small magnet on the inside of the annex. It'll lift it up. Flat metal outside so it isn't affected by wind...
Absolutely brilliant for the placement of the rear camera. I put mine directly on my smartcap and it sticks out horribly. Bought an adapter off etsy for a different cap for inside, but I don't want to run the cable there. I'll order another 10 series 8020 and mount it parallel to the rear hatch...
Yeah bit off too much man. I set the the large 270 awning and if I don't overhang it reaches middle of the backseat. I also bought the 90 awning thats 99".. it reaches to the point between front and back doors.
Hey now, my advice was for the large, not the XL. That thing is way too fat to put back there.
That being said I'm in a mess when my stuff shows up. I have no idea why I bought a 99" awning. The XL is 87" I think, you'll need to get a full height rack and overhang above the cab by ~24".
FYI they had a price decrease today for what was still in stock. It says 10% for prime day, but my 90 awning and annex went from $344 to $174. I called just now and they'll be refunding the difference, so if y'all bought anything that went on sale today, they will refund to price match...
Get a compression bag and a small pocket sized air pump. They're amazing for bedding and as a plus, it prevents them from absorbing moisture and molding while inside the bag (outside moisture, can't put them away wet).
