You essentially have a free cover if they're not expecting it back. I would work with it. Buy some weather stripping, replace anything questionable, and re-seal the sides and front of the bed (what the cover is sitting on).

@ShadowsPapa @Mr._Bill - thank you gentlemen. The can was brand new when the fuel was put in. One of the steel Eagle cans which seal nice and tight.
I ended up splitting the 5 gallons between my truck and the wife's Compass. Topped off the truck with mid-grade just to get some additives in there
Rather than start my own thread I'll ask here since it's gas-related... I have a gas can from a little over a year ago that I don't want to run through my generator. Would it be ok to put the 4-5gal in my truck? A fuel stabilizer was used

Slammed my seat with Desert Does It's kit. Dropped it the full 2" and I finally fit. Can't believe it took me this long to do. Must have mod for anyone 6'3 or taller
If my NYC concealed carry app ever goes through I'll probably buy this as it complies under NYC's stringent gun transportation requirements (glove boxes not eligible).
My mirrors are pointed fairly outwards and don't have any real issues. I've also never checked blind spot turning around though, I just lean forward. Leaning forward I can see every lane I need. Safer that way too
