Catching 3 ounces of oil in 3,300 miles isn't that bad. The 3.6 probably has low tension piston rings which is low friction and good for gas mileage and bad for blowby. It's certainly not a quart every 1,000 miles as some manufactures say is acceptable.
My 3.6 has 2,200 miles on it and I drained 1 ounce of oil from my J&L catch can after it's been installed for 1,175 miles. The catch can holds 3 ounces of oil so at 3,000 miles it might be full.
At least the oil isn't going into the intake so it's doing it's job.
On my old 2022 Willy I put Rubicon fenders, hood and take-off Rubicon wheels and tires. Then in 2024 Jeep did the same thing to the Willys model plus added a rear locker.
The gain for the RAM has to be in the tuning for that extra 20 HP. A DOHC 4 valve engine tends to be high revving with the 3.6 the power is upstairs absent of low end torque. In contrast to 2.0L turbo on the dyno has allot more low to mid range torque than the 3.6l.
I've done this on my old 22 Willys 2 door and it reduced the wander allot. I also installed them on my 24 JLUR and it helped but the wander wasn't that bad to start with. I installed them with it sitting on the tires at full left or right depending on the side I was replacing. The 22 Willys...
I have a 2.0 in my 2024 JLUR and it runs very well. A 340HP SRT tuned version of the 2.0L would work really well in a JT. If possible use the 3.0L like it my 2025 Rebel that would be excellent. People go on about the virtues of the 5.7 Hemi. The 3.0L S/O is much better it just doesn't sound like...
