    7.25 is the state tax rate. Your county/city can charge more and most do.

    Many states have some pretty hefty sales tax (9.25%) in my neck of the woods but, we don't have state income tax and that's the cat's meow!

    Maybe all, depends if they have collection laws in place. In Tennessee the state get 6.25% and the county city get 1.5% each which means our effective tax rate is 9.25% for Tipton County TN.

    Technically tax/title isn't a fee and has nothing to do with you and the dealer (other than they probably must collect). What I asked for was an out-the-door price with a breakdown. I think the only fee above the destination that I paid (it's required), was $550 admin fee with processing the...

    They sell because people don't research. Being on the forum for 10 minutes will tell you that for a little travel, you can save thousands of dollars. Money to some just doesn't matter as much as others. Lining the pockets of rich dealerships isn't my bag baby.
