not everyone wants a V8 for maximum power. some just want power with simplicity.
good displacement, very balanced, naturally aspirated. less things to fail.
Out of curiosity, were your old Toyos skinnier?
Wider tires means you're putting less weight per sqin of contact, but also that water needs to be displaced further. Physics has limits. I also noticed a pretty large difference in hydroplaning when I went to 315s.
i went in with the "buy once, cry once" mentality
IJKP-27 Package Deal with ARB Twin Compressor CKMTA12
Probably one of the most expensive options around, but the compressor is bullet proof, fast, and has 100% duty cycle which is handy when I'm airing up not only myself but a buddy or two...
I used to HATE gladiators. When i told my wife i was getting one she thought i was joking because i used to say things like "Finally! People who don't use their Jeep for Jeep stuff and people who don't use their truck for truck stuff can buy just one vehicle."
I'm not going to say the specific...
I'm not sure i agree with that assertion. If that was truly accurate, the Honda Ridgeline would be the best-selling midsize truck by a country mile, but instead it's the lowest selling midsize truck (if you combine the GM twins)
anything along the bottom to prevent damage to the bed? I'm not lined and frankly my bed is already scratched to shit, but currently i'm all surface scratches, and fear something like this could eventually get through the paint and expose bed metal.
REEVs are a great idea. Let the engine run at their most efficient or not at all. That being said... there's no telling yet if the engineering and build cost's effect on the MSRP is going to be in any way shape or form recoverable by the owner. Though it does look from the HP figures they are...
Absolutely. i love mine:
autoLYNX - JEEP SWAY BAR DISCONNECT – Apex Performance Products
It's a bit pricey compared to some of the other options, but man does it make up for it with ease of use.
Edited to add:
I just noticed the website says
Which i find odd. That was neither mentioned nor...
Just throw a sway bar disconnect on there. You'll rub (a very very small amount) on the inner fender liner. It's pretty much the perfect sized tire for a Mojave.
As i've heard others say: 'if you're not rubbing a little bit, you should have bought larger tires"
Well they must have turned that around quick because my 98 camry decided to gel its oil in less than 3k miles since its last oil change with only some 80k-ish miles on the odo with no warning signs or indicator lamps until *BANG* dead engine.
find a dealer nearby willing to deal. send them a copy of your build and price from the current model year. With Jeep most of the current rebates will be locked in when the order is placed, but if the rebates are better when the vehicle arrives, you'll get those instead. Ask your dealer if...
you can run 315s or 12.5s at +25 without sticking out past the fender. but at 0 offset (what the method 318s are) you will stick out with 12.5s. I'm purely speculating here, but 11.5s should poke at 0 offset as well
(napkin math: 315s at +25 are pretty much flush. a inch narrower tire buys you...
if you trust what Jeep puts in their brochures, the mojave is most likely the same height in the rear and .5 inches higher in the front as compared to the rubicon
Brochure states the mojave is (as compared to the rubicon) 0.2 inches higher at the highest point, 1.3° better approach, 0.6° better...
beautiful rig, sorry to see you go. I sure you're familiar with the standard advise to part out upgrades where possible and sell separately to maximize value, though from your situation i'm guessing you're short on time... however, i really suggest putting your rear seats back in at the very...
My initial thought was "vastly inferior, must be notably cheaper"
So i looked it up. sunrider is a grand today (inflation... got mine for $770), rolltop is $750... OUCH.
For anyone considering this thing, trust me the extra $250 is absolutely worth it. I can open and close my sunrider without...
I agree with your base assertion... but take issue with your choice of the word slightly. My old Willys (i understand not a rubicon but i've never owned a rubicon and dealerships don't let you do offroad testdrives) used to bounce me very roughly around the same washboarded roads that my mojave...
