P2183 isnāt a common trouble code. There are three possible coolant temp sensors on the EcoDiesel. The two common sensors are the one you replaced and the one on the upper driver side of the block. If you have the thermal rear end there is another coolant sensor in the rear axle.
Before you...
The coolant sensor youāre looking for is on the upper back side of the block on the driverās side. This is the high side temp sensor in the upper water jacket that will register lower temps if not submerged in the coolant jacket.
Sensor 2 is higher up in the tank and will register a significantly lower temp compared to sensor 1 which will be fully submerged. The temp delta will throw the code.
Fill up the tank with 50/50 Mopar coolant and clear the code.
When it warms up, figure out why youāre loosing coolant.
Backlash looks to be the issue here but hard to say with the even wear pattern. Iāve used Yukon in all but one of my Jeeps and oddly have issues with the Spicer set in my TJ.
Are there any known issues with AlfaOBD and the 2025 Gladiators? How about the Tazer?
Iāve seen some issues on the Ram forums with the new architecture but havenāt seen anything with Jeep.
Thanks in advance!
