In the article it says the jeep they bought included the headliners , and they still complained.... I use my UConnect all the time and never have issues with it hearing my commands- no headliner and I have MT's.
We bought the specialty trim, with a transmission only 18% of buyers will get, that reduces the towing capacity by half, and bitch about both. Oh and then we will judge our desert outfitted specialty vehicle based on driving it in the snow only... and forgot how to drive and downshift. All that...
Just upgraded mine and this one's got to go- Has security Code and will supply VIN for xm subscription. Includes free shipping.
Pictured is Actual unit in use in this week.....
If anyone is reading this old thread- I just did the swap on a 7 to 8.4 on a 2020. Two key things. The green plug the 7 goes to the mustard colored plug on the 8.4. It will update- cycle your vehicle at least 3 times, key out let sit for at least 45 min between and after the third time- let it...
With 35'sI went from 19-20 to 16- 17, also put on a 2.5 inch lift. Did not re-gear, but did recalibrate with Jscan. Its been consistent over the last year.
Saw the videos- it looks fairly easy as long as you're comfortable taking the dash apart, which I am. I ordered the prefab video adaptor for 25 bucks from Z automotive so I won't have to splice anything into the back of the head unit. One of the videos uses Jscan- so I'm pretty confident I can...
I saw someone in one of the other groups post something about the original Gladiator today.
It's been sitting in my home office for a few years. My JK 05 Gladiator.
I'm thinking of doing this- How long/ difficult was the install and what programmer did you use? The reviews on Amazon are mixed- so I was hoping to get more info.
I'm going to ask a question because I've been looking for over an hour and I can't find clear answers. Where does one get the unlock code for their own radio? Do you have to contact a dealer. I Just purchased an 8.4 and it has the unlock code, I have a 7 inch- where is the code?
I'm pretty sure those Badge of Honor trails were already on the program..... they added Northwest ORV about a year ago and Big bend has been there for at least a couple of years.
It appears to be a feature. I saw a few discussions in the FB Gladiator groups- something to do with the voice control and Siri/andriod listening. When a phone is connected through Car Play it's limited.
There is definitely a difference between here on the forum and the FB and Insta groups. The FB groups have some crazy builds and many that are never intended to go off-road. They have vendors and links to crap I've never seen on here and the extreme builds are off the charts. Because of the...
Theres always a group of people who chant V8, V8, V8....... its kinda funny considering this engine makes more power and torque than most full size trucks with V8s did 10-15 years ago. Engines have come a long way- look at the ford V6 truck engines; hell my wife's 4 banger makes significantly...
If you have a Taser or Jscan there is a setting for switching from non-LED to LED. I had to do this change as well when I swapped mine. Bulb out error is gone.
This is not tied to a specific VIN. You can read about it here: 2nd page of the first doc applies to the Jeep.

The never version has been updated for the ODB port, but is the exact same thing...
