If you were happy when you had 33s, then choose 4.88. This is based on the math: 37/33 * 4.10 = 4.60. The 4.88 gives a little more torque for the heavier tires.
If you'd like more oomph for those hills, choose 5.13, at the cost of a little less MPG.
In the 1960s there was a two-car race in the Soviet Union, an American car and a Russian one. The American car won.
Pravda reported accurately: "The Russian car came in second, but the American car was next to last".
Agree with this. I bought Overland because it will be my DD for at least 3 years. I don't do rock crawling, and I can't imagine me needing the 4:1 transfer case. In fact, for my needs I wish the 2.72:1 was more like 2:1.
So if I had not ordered an Overland, the next step up I would have...
I had a white Dakota 16 years. Towards the end I was reluctant to put much money into body work - so did some myself. Didn't look great, but looked OK. The white color had something to do with that. Plus I repainted the bed a couple of times with white Rustoleum. That is one reason I did not get...
I don't have larger tires or 4.10 gears. My Overland with manual is stock. So I can't help with the specifics you are asking for.
However, having driven many different vehicles with MT in my life, I think it is more just getting the feel for how much torque you have for given speed and...
So true. For me, Gobi tan looked much better in person than on the Build & Price website. Just the opposite for Hydro blue.
But in the end, I ordered white. Plan to keep it a loong time, and white wears better than most colors. Plus reflects the SW FL sun better.
I think it depends on dealer. They are independent franchises.
When I first went to my local dealer (Naples), I was told for ordering they would give me "dealer invoice" which is about 5% discount. However, then the Covid-19 shutdown happened. By the time my Gladiator was delivered, 4 months...
I am plugging nail or screw holes; it is a slow leak because the nail or screw is still in it. If the plug begins to leak, I've still got a leak, not a blow-out. But like I said, I've never had a leak from one.
Yes, I am a civil/structural engineer. As such, I know there are many construction...
For me, a tire consumer, the only thing I differ with what the tire experts say is about plugs. No shop will put them in nowadays, and even the package they come in says "for temporary repairs only" or something like that. I have used plugs for decades, with never a failure or air leak.
OK, I gotta ask. My 2020 Overland has a plaque lower right tailgate. Yours has a decal. Is that 2021 change, or your own doing? Same question about the classic Jeep 4 Wheel Drive decal.
You sound just like me, except at 72, I still cannot retire for a few years.
Regarding tires, I like the aggressive look, but not willing to put up with road noise to get it. Definitely do not want the high weight of the popular knobby tires that many on this forum seem to choose. Not willing...
