I have them, the look good and very clear even at full volume. Noticable over stock.
Also have added DS18 sound bar, and HS10 Kicker Subwoofer in place of the factory Alpine crap subwoofer.. there's a good thread on here about the install. The HS10 really kicks... its almost shameful to...
Did this last weekend.
@DC3 thanks for the pics and the mounting, works great!
Factory trim back on, and it all looks stock, but sounds SO MUCH better. For such a small box the HS10 really kicks!
Two reasons for me:
1. Clean look, and the HS10 in place of factory sub keeps stock look and...
Ok Update:
1. They do work. You need to remove the steel bracket and the plastic bracket inside the bumper.
2. You need to relocate the sensor wire--my original concern with sensor housing is fine, its just a spot where the wire it routed/tied down, you can move it and stuff it in the bumper...
Yeah these aren't the stockers..stockers probably have a provision (hole or something) for sensors. Its not so much the wiring, there's enough there, but the stock bracket has a hole that holds the back up sensor...
The real issue is I can't test fit them to see if I could drill a whole or...
Anyone use these: https://www.extremeterrain.com/redrock-4x4-jeep-gladiator-bed-side-rock-rails-jg2317.html
With the backup sensors?
I have them, went to install, but the bumper bracket they want to replace holds the backup sensors... and no provision on them for it.
Factory Apline is garbage IMO.
My 2013 RAM blows it away.
My Son's 2021 JL blows it away.
My 2017 SS destroys it (of course that has 12" sub in the trunk lol.)
Subwoofer is totally weak. Knee speakers don't do much.
Even replacing the Sound Bar and Dash Speakers made it tolerable, but the...
Wait, those don't look right either way.
My Terra's looked different.
And my stockers didn't look like either of the bottom ones... they were about the style of the left with the size of the right....
And Terra's were noticably different in sound than my stockers-- they were crystal clear...
Not 100% sure, but I think so as the sound quality for supposedly Alpine premium was pretty poor. And the JT Subwoofer isn't even close to the JLs.
Both have Headliners.
Using these as fronts https://terraacoustics.com/products/jeep-front-soundstage-upgrade-jl-jt
listed at 7 ohms impedence...
Yep, I can hear the front upper dash speakers quite well, I fiddled with it checking the knee speakers which don't seem to make much noise at all. Sound moves with the balance as well, they are just super quiet, even at high volume. I need to listen to another JT with premium to see if they...
So I have swapped the upper dash speakers (Terra Acoustics -- very nice) and DS18 Sound Bar which is loud, and surprisingly clear...
However the lower dash speaker sound, the ones on the lower part of the dash toward the floor, the sound from them is neglible -- Have the Alpine system and they...

The one I have didn't come with an amp, it plugs into the factory system. This is the 4 speaker without an amp, "plug and play".
You'd have to check the aftermarket amp to see if its compatible...
Yes the "upgraded" alpine system (which was amazingly bad IMO), for example the system in my 2013 RAM is way, way better than the Jeep system (not anymore though ;( )
Uses factory harness, plugs right into it, so nothing else needed there. You don't need a separate amp or lineout converters...
Only thing was I had already taken the factory bar out and all the trim off... and the thing was really close to fitting correctly... I didn't want to put it all back together and send it back.. ugh.
I did share this with DS18, and they responded with:
"It does say assembly required in the...
