There's a couple of threads on here about stock camera/washer jet. Its not all that easy its way too much work for the wiring and such. The stock option is one of those you should get (I didn't and its not easy to add -- the stock one has good integration).
Regarding an earlier poster about...
There's a bunch of threads on the front cam. Want the best quality get the one stock. Its a huge deal to add the stock camera. You can get an aftermarket one that (sort of) works with the 8.4" screen as the "cargo cam" with lower quality. IMO the factory front cam is the best way and I...
Trying to install the Autostop Eliminator harness. Because frankly the Autostop thing is hugely annoying AF.
Cannot get the stock connector out. In their video it looks easy.
On mine no amount of holding down the latch, wiggling or pulling makes it even move.
Anyone have any tips? Or did...
These will NOT fit on a Mojave. Ask me how I know? I ordered them and had to send them back because they won't fit. The Front Fender is a different shape.
RokBlokz. They are tough. They are not held on by plastic rivets. They (likely) aren't going to break on the trail, as you can flex...
Got them installed. Original XL. Fit is great, no cutting/holes needed. For the Mojave at least I would get XL, I got XL Short here...any narrower and the front tire sides would extend past the mudflap. Not sure why you'd need to get "professional" installation. The install is pretty easy...
Makes me wonder as well..its a very slight change +0.1* caster both sides, to 4.8, Camber on the left went from -0.7 to -0.3, so now cross camber is -0.5 (right in spec, almost magically?), toe is now 0.05 on both sides.
WRT to the stabilizer, as I said at low speeds, not sure I noticed much...
So they put it back on the rack, and talked to jeep and now the Cross Camber/Camber readings are in spec...go figure. Sheet's in the jeep but Caster actually went down a few tenths...
So one thing I did that helped, was "prime" the steering stabilizer, go back and forth lock to lock several...
Mine too, but I don't think they'd work as Rock Rails at least based on looking at them from the bottom ;( I don't like them, but the wife does... It'd be nice to have something that does both like Rock Slide Engineering ones.. but those are pricey.
Heard back from the dealer. They spoke with Jeep. Jeep wanted them to verify the calibration on their alignment machine and retest my Gladiator. :surprised: Well maybe not surprising, as I was thinking it'd be worth double checking on a different alignment rack before tearing things apart; and...
"that way, if anything DOES crop up in the future, it's in specs. (and they have tried to address it)"
Very good point. I don't want them to dismiss any future concerns because "I refused to let them do the specified repair..."
I am still waiting to hear back from the dealer. I did PM...
"Do you have a big deadspot, or do you just wish the steering was heavier?"
Its a little deadspot, which isn't so bad, but I think a little heavier would help with overcorrect. My biggest complaint of steering wheel off/pull to the right seems to have gone away..I even checked the centering in...
So I did a bit of road testing again on flat road. It tracks pretty straight until either bumps or curves...for a good 10-12s at 70mph...which IMO pretty good. Hard to find good roads here in Michigan...
I did do the steering stablizer prime, which was basically turn the steering wheel lock...
Got it, and what's the effect if I move to larger 35/37 tires?
I am getting more tempted to do the LCAs (If they are the right ones they are like $30 for the mopar ones -- dealer probably wouldn't even notice them), and take a run at centering them myself. Would I need it re-aligned...
4.5* caster too low for stock Mojave? (33)
I'm still waiting on the dealer to hear back from Jeep on what do to exactly, but that was my concern is they replace the axle and still more issues--I don't them just throwing parts at it.
The steering wander isn't too bad at all, more of it was the...
Thanks, kind of PITA, but otherwise there'd be more problems down the road (like tire wear etc.) and when I get around to modding it years from now, it needs to be correct stock first.
Cross posting from here: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/2021-mojave-alignment-issue.47728/ (sorry in advance if that's against the rules).
Would like some help interpreting the effects here of 1. LF Camber out of spec (0.6 vs. 0.5 limit) and 2. Too much cross camber -0.8 spec...
So, having some issues with steering tracking. Have about ~1200 miles. Took it to the dealer and they put it on the alignment rack..told me the Camber (Yes Camber) was out of spec.. and there's no adjustment because of the live axle. They've escalated to Jeep for advice on how to fix...
