Looking to swap out my 2.5" Clayton springs for Teraflex. Wondering if anyone's done side by side on these or has pre and post measurements on either Teraflex option.
Clayton springs run really tall so not sure if I should be looking at the 2.5 or 3.5 from Teraflex.
Redline has 75W90 without the limited slip additives and 75W85 with it. Given I currently just have an open diff with no traction device of any sort, presuming the 75W90 is the one to go with.
Thoughts?
Have my RPM tie rod that I would like to put on and adjust toe temporarily until I can get a full alignment done. But have a question. I know it's 1/8 to 1/4 toe in generally, but measure from the hub or the tire? Tire widths all varying will change the measure at the tire quite a bit when...
I imagine the bearing is in the end link, And that is just simply unbolting the old one and putting a new one in. Or am I going to need to press the ball out?
If I just got a whole new metal cloak rod is it just a few bolts at that point or do I need a ball press?
Looking for some new shocks, the basic 2.0 performance series Fox are not holding up well, ride has become garbage. So looking to upgrade to something bigger and better and adjustable.
What can people tell me about these 3 offerings on the JT?
Fox 2.5 Performance Elite Piggy Back. Something...
Come across an occasional 37x11.5 but is there anything a little larger than that, 38-40, that is also skinny? Seems most go to 13.5-15.5. Or I am not looking in the right place.
Driving around Sedona AZ in a JLUR I4 etorque thingamajig. Once going the manners are fine. But compared to the V6 there's so much lag off the line. Driven too many German I4 from VW to Audi to BMW to ever want that kind of experience in a Jeep. There's SO much lag off the line. Then it...
Rented a JLUR on Turo in Sedona. Has the 1 touch top option. Never seen this. With as infrequently as I remove the back and as often as people put racks on which make back removal difficult at best, a one touch option would be awesome. @JeepCares
Thinking of beefing up the axles with new gears, lockers, axle shafts, truss... but then wondering if maybe a junkyard 14 bolt is better option to build on. Anyone done that swap yet, or Ford 1 ton? Most interested to hear about parts, welding for the control arms or kits available, and ABS...
The Caldor Fire is in the worst place possible for the Rubicon. Fires in this part of the state generally move towards the north east. It is already creeping close to Ice House Road with 0% containment. If it grew to the size of Dixie it would wipe out Rubicon and parts of Tahoe. It already...
Pickup only. Will hold them for a week or two but gotta go. Not wide or high, they are the basic ones. Will need to reuse your light harness and buy new clips, I just ripped the things out and broke all the clips. But if you want 'em, come get 'em.
Would work well for a body matched chop...
I am thinking about wrapping the underside of my sliders to protect against road debris chips with 3M clear in addition to the leading edge of my rear fender flares.
I know it protects well but there's going to be times when I do need to remove it for repainting.
Is anybody having experience...

We are very sorry to report a serious accident that occurred last night on the Rubicon trail.
A child was killed last night near Gatekeeper in a tragic accident. The sheriff was on the scene very quickly. A vehicle rolled over near Gatekeeper, and another...
When we head out for adventures we often pack the bed to the gills, clothes... food... paddle boards... recovery gear, etc. We need a little more space and have a good sized roof box but no place to install it.
Bed rack seems the normal option, but I don't necessarily want it on all the time...
I started with the @Clayton Off Road ride right kit which had one set of front upper Giro control arms to adjust the front axle and that's it.
Then later added both rear control arms upper and lower also with Giro joints.
I finished swapping the rear joints to Johnny, and added the front lower...
A lot of disconnect on this one. Some say that welding to the frame will put the integrity of the frame in question. Others regularly weld things like long arm kits and sliders to the frame.
What's the consensus here?
I've always managed to get the bare metal parts like a bumper clean but it's such a pita. The power washer thread got me thinking, would it work to load up a foamer with something like the purple Super Clean, spray it, let it sit, then keep blasting it off with that stuff? And then do the...
