I don’t know, this my first tonneau cover. lol it will depend on how they’re mounted, which I’m guessing will be based on type and brand. The Tygar/Max Mate covers are pretty simple set-ups.
So if I want to connect aux switches, then you don't need to connect the interrupt kit? But then do I still need to turn it on and off? or the aux switch manage the power to it? and what about parasitic draw? if I have this thing connected to power, will the aux switch stop power to it, even if...
I just got the Rockhard 4x4 plate yesterday. Hoping to get it installed this weekend. But I'm also hoping to move the control box like @Sorbs for a lower profile look. A buddy is much better at electrical stuff, so I'm hoping he can help me figure it out.
you do have to loosen the tonneau rail to slide out the brackets As it sits on top of the brackets, but it’s not hard. I’ve adjusted the brackets a few times to get the right distance for adding mounts for a high-lift, and to mount traction boards.
Yeah. I sent him the build I wanted, and he gave me the 5% below invoice. It didn’t budge after that. He sent me a copy of the order to double check everything before placing it. The rate and residual is variable depending on the day.
The local dealers wouldn’t budge, another texted back “No...
Tread Lightly is not for purchase only, you can use it on a lease. You just need to be a member for at least 30 days. I leased and went through Rob. It was pretty straight forward, although ask if you can have them skip the add-ons - something with making it shiny, and something else. I didn't...
They say it can. You can also get a third crossover bar set-up from Voodoo depending on how much you need it to hold. I think they have the specs on their site.
This is the one I bought, though the price has gone up. I paid $125 and even though it says "Max Mate", mine says Tygar. Look around for similar Tygar or Max Mate. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M1K4T40/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also did a couple of mods to the...
I have a Tygar soft roll cover. but essentially what @Mr_Bill said. I unlocked it using the proximity lock feature but didn’t open the door, just the tailgate. After a few minutes it locked while loading up my bike and stuff.
So today I almost locked myself out. I left my keys in my camelback after a ride, and closed the tailgate with the tonneau cover closed and locked. Then my doors locked. I had to use Uconnect to unlock the doors to get my keys out. Fortunately I had my phone in my pocket, or it would’ve been a...
I went with the Rubicon because it will do 99.9% of the things I want to do with it right out of the box. I can take it off-road, tow my trailer and haul stuff, as well as be a nice and comfortable daily driver. I also special ordered it to get the options I wanted and not the ones I didn't.
This my set-up. I really wanted something that worked with a tonneau cover. KB Voodoo crossbars, cheap fork mount with thru-axle adapter, and an old wheel tray. The rear wheel tray needs some tweaking to keep it more stabilized but it works for now.
Edit: I have since put on a Rocky Mounts Jet...
Seems like it! I've almost emptied out my windshield cleaner tank in the 2 months I've had my truck. I can hardly remember adding windshield cleaner in the 20 years I had my Tacoma.
you should be fine with those as you're getting into it. I was thinking they came with the all-seasons or highway tires. just start driving around. not "needed" unless you air down is a portable air compressor like from Viair or smittybilt is nice. airing down will give you more traction, but it...
Depending on your terrain, more aggressive tires, like all-terrains, will make the biggest difference. Then look for forest service roads near you and start cruising around. A lot of service/fire roads are not going to be too technical you'll get stuck. See if there are any books describing some...
