I've seen folks put 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers on OEM wheels. I think that's where I was leaning if/when I use up the stock 33s. I really don't want to spend money on new wheels if I don't have to.
If you plan to go off-road, some recovery gear/equipment is a must - winch or come-along, recovery rope, traction boards. Also a gps unit like the Garmin InReach incase you need to get a message out for help if you're stuck.
are you sure you were all the way in 4L? as in did you feel and hear it engage? if not, it might not have been fully engaged and popped out when giving it gas. I've had a similar experience.
glad to have come across this thread. my dog doesn't really scratch at the doors, but occasionally likes to stick his head out the window and will step on the handle. need to see if/how much scratching is being done. I never sit back there, and never really look.
My Rubicon does 99.9% of the trails I drive, and not are all smooth, graded gravel roads. That's why I got that trim. Does everything I need/want it to do out of the box. I like practicality. If I find myself on a lot of trails where it can't go without a lift, then I'll reconsider. I'd rather...
Did jeep acquire the rights to the name from the tribe back in the 70's, or just start using it? The tribe has a right to the name, so I see no issue. I think the one's complaining just need to grow-up and ditch their sense of entitlement to something they are not entitled to. If a tribe wants a...
with mine, the auto start/stop light never went on. when the surge happened, it fried the fuse board and everything would basically shut down, or in this last case it shut down then the lights would flash all over the place.
Only electrical. Had my fuse board replaced 3 times due to a surge. First time unsure why, 2nd time they suspected my winch even though the kill switch worked, this latest time they now suspect it was a bad auto start/stop relay. All replaced under warranty by dealership.
Fit starters, I think Bulliet, Buffalo Trace or Woodford are good buys. Not too expensive and drinkable. They got a bit of heat, but you generally have to pay more to get smoother. Wild Turkey 101 is also a good option.
That sir is a very nice collection. The George T. Stagg and Stagg Jr. are a couple of favorites. I have to try any of the Pappy's, a bit pricey around here.
For Old Fashions or Boilermakers, I generally rotate through Bulliet, Buffalo Trace, and lately Redemption.
For sippin' Four Roses SB is...
I tried the 12v test light, and no light. I didn't think there was any issue with the winch.
here's another observation, and I'm not sure it's relevant. I noticed after getting it back from the dealer the voltage meter in the truck would read at around 14v while driving. Prior to that after I...
I wish it was about 1” taller. I can roll my Tygar cover, but it does take a bit of finagling. I didn’t have any QC issues with mine, but that last sentence is true. ??
I asked him once if he had any suggestions for companies that made mounts that work with his racks since I wanted to put on a...
That’s my understanding too. But once they disconnected the winch, accessories were working again. As if the PDC was sensing an overload and switched off, but once removed things were relatively ok again. In the notes they “advise” putting in some sort of inverter to buffer any power draw from...
They said both batteries had full charges. It started up just fine. Just when I was starting to drive off is when everything went out. They disconnected the winch and things worked again but intermittently. Something about "dropping of the bus creating the power failure". So they replaced the...
Mine problem it turned out was another bad TIPM/PDC. Got it replaced under warranty. Though they think it might be related to the winch, so they unconnected it to see if it does it again.
Welp! So much for it running fine. All electrics just went out! Not even hazards working. Thank god for HF blinking lights. Waiting for a tow. Last time this happened the TIPM board had to be replaced. Ugh!
