  1. Red Rock'n Utah Firecracker Build

Thanks. Post Army, I've now been doing this line of work for nearly 25 years; CISO for the last ~10-15. Stressful, exciting and with great compensation as you noted. If all goes well, I hope to "retire" in ~2 years and buy an RV park for the next and possibly final phase of my career. Married 29...
  2. Red Rock'n Utah Firecracker Build

LED Light bar on order as well as a new front custom grill. The wife decided that I mod'd the JT so much, that I should own/keep it. So, off to the dealership we went and bought her a new JL. We now have HIS & HER jeeps!
  3. Magnetic HAM antenna location?

Would appear a lip-mount underhood might do the trick, but I do worry about paint damage: https://www.amazon.com/K400S-K-400S-Diamond-Original-Hatchback/dp/B00AR09JAU/ref=sr_1_4?crid=28D2YW4AIKO4G&keywords=ham+radio+antenna+mount&qid=1577139802&sprefix=ham+radio+ante%2Caps%2C198&sr=8-4
  4. Magnetic HAM antenna location?

Seems there's no metal on/around the hood. Nowhere. No place to mount my magnetic antenna for HAM radio + amp. Suggestions appreciated. Don't really want to mount this on my bumper, though that too is all aluminum..

Photo taken shortly after pulling the F350 out of the snow.. We were on the Elk Hunt. If you look closely to the rear drivers side of the Jeep, you can make out the carcass of a cow Elk that's been eaten clean by predators..

  14. Bought a FlashCal

So, 100% confirmed that the FlashCal is controlling the ESS just fine at this time. As it relates to that hood pin, I just layed it down to the side.. no real room for it to flop/move around. I have had zero issues with the OBD2 port and a good connection to the FlashCal..

  17. Power steering issue when cold

Two times in a row now where temps in the low 20's, go for a short drive and find that for a brief moment, I have NO power steering. Had this happen on a curve over the weekend and I was sure glad no other traffic on the road as I would have collided with any vehicles in the lane to my right..

As an update: Our Rock Rails froze up on the passenger side and wouldn't extend after about 1 hour of driving in snow at 21F temps..
