Drive it like you own it! Sorry to say but it sounds like at this point you own it. I say keep driving it. Have the dealer keep clearing the code. It will either fix itself at some point or FCA will eventually come out with a fix. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with it.
There are 2 screws in the bin that must be removed and then it is plastic clipped into the panel above. I pulled & pryed until it came loose. Nothing broke but i would not advise taking my approach or you could break something lol.
I think the panel above it would need to be removed to take it...
I'm selling a set (4) Rampage #7685 tube doors for the JT & JL. These are brand new (never installed) and still in the shipping box. Must pick up.. no shipping (unless you want to pay alot more)
Retail at most places is around $600.
Selling for $350.00 cash...
Whats even worse is they are willing to deceive any person that would buy a JT that had the misfire issue. When i brought up to Jeep cares the diminished value if major engine parts or engine was replaced and the fact i would need to disclose this to a prospective buyer if i sold it. They told...
Well i was told by jeep cares and my dealership that i have every right to refuse a tear down and keep driving it and my warranty would still be in full effect if something happened.
I think it would be different if FCA had a definitive fix and you refused the repair, but since they are just...
Like i said in the first post, 10 others had the same issue as mine the day mine was built. There we so many that this was brought to higher ups attention. I guarantee this went on for several weeks if not more so do the math how many there are out there.
Hi all its been a while since i have replied to this thread since starting it.
It seems that for now my issue has resolved itself. I have 5000 miles on since the last wave of misfire issues.
I've offered this advice before but ill offer it again. My suggestion is if you are not having major...
This is exactly what i was told by an engineer that works on the JT platform. He told me to drive it hard. At first i laughed it off as this is something you do with older cars to break them in.. i think it helps seat the valves.
In my opinion ice cube mode is really only usable for short trips on when its plugged directly into the JT when you are driving. Was hoping to have ice for my whiskey haha.
curious on the amp hours others are seeing on the 55IM. Dometic claims something like 1.1ah @ 80 degrees i think but this is a bit deceiving. They made this model with a chill plate to make ice and from the app in ice maker mode it was consuming 2.9Ah @ less than 75 degrees.
I tested it before...
here are my dogs & their set up from my most recent trip. They ride in the bed with cargo nets on the sides so the dont fall out. I also installed lap belt seat belts that are clipped to their harnesses.
11yo St. Bernard & 13yo Mastiff.
They fill up the whole bed pretty much.
seat delete platform is done! Concealed SOSS hinges lift the platform to gain access to the space below. Also removed the plastic storage bin onbthe back drivers wall for an additional 6" of platform space. Covered the whole thing with paint on bed liner. I will eventually add a keyed lock to...
My seat delete platform. I could not justify the price for GG. I think mine turned out just as good with more access to the space under the platform. Also removed the plastic storage compartment on the drivers side for an additional 6" of space. Whole thing is covered in paint on bed liner.
Finally some good weather to get the tube doors on. Just finalizing my rear seat platform & should have it mounted this weekend in time for a week overlanding trip next week.
More to come...
Was able to mock up my seat delete platform with cardboard today. I took it 1 step further than the goose gear and removed the storage tray on the drivers side, seemed like wasted space & 6 additional inches of space is worth it IMO. The depth on the drivers side split is 40" and the rest is...
